Job's story continues, giving us treasures of insights as we see the depth of his suffering mentally, physically, and emotionally and his interactions with his friends.

God's Word gives us deep insights into Job's sufferings, including his own inner tensions and his attacks and conversations with his so-called "friends." These three chapters contain some important nuggets as this story continues.

In lesson 2 of our "Count Down to the Manger" Christmas special, we discuss the two presentations concerning the Christ child as recorded in Luke 2 and dig into the purpose and reasons for these, as well as their fulfillment in Christ.

Job struggles as his friends judge and condemn him. Here we see Job praying and fighting again to be justified and relieved.

In this episode, we continue our Feasts of the Lord study, focusing on Pentecost, or the Feast of Weeks. We see the requirements for this feast, and understand how it is fulfilled through Jesus Christ, along with understanding the two loaves of bread used with leaven. This feast is especially pertinent to the body of Messiah, Christians and believers today.

Today, we hear more from one of Job's "friends" (one of three) who try to answer and figure out why Job is suffering, and what their thoughts are, which Job refutes. 

As we begin to study the book of Job, we discover who this man is, and how his special circumstances and sufferings began and why. As a contemporary of Abraham, we find how godly he was, what kind of parent he was, and how much he suffered very quickly, and how faithful he was in spite of his disasters. Job shows us a real person whose faith was put to the test, and how he struggled to overcome.

Today, we conclude the book of Esther and see how God preserved His people, destroyed their enemy, and promoted his servvant, Mordecai.

Today, we begin the book of Esther and learn some of the details of this beautiful story of God's protection and deliverance, although the name of God is never directly mentioned in this book. We learn of Esther's rise to royalty and God's purpose in establishing her as Queen, as well a details about an evil plot devised by Haman, and Mordecai's insistence on Esther's help.

In this conclusion to the book of Nehemiah, we see the reforms Nehemiah brought, as well as the dedication of the wall and the assignment of Temple responsibilities.

In this lesson, we dive into the resurrection of Jesus in a deeper way as we examine it in light of the Feast of Firstfruits, looking at Part 2 of this festival's study.

Today shows us the Covenant that Ezra led the people to make after the Babylonian captivity, as well as the areas both inside and outside of Jerusalem where the various tribes and leaders resided.

Today, we see how Ezra reads the Law and brings about a time of repentance.

In this broadcast, we see the completion of the work and a genealogical listing of all those who made the return from Babylon back to Jerusalem after the captivity, providing some important details especially concerning the genealogy of Jesus recorded in the New Testament.

Here, we see Nehemiah has to deal with opposition to his wall rebuilding project from enemies, including a conspiracy against him in this work, as well as how he overcomes their distractions and completes the project.  One of my favorite verses is found in Neh. 6:3 and helps us to overcome distractions by remembering its message.

Here we see the motivation and favor of God upon Nehemiah's return to his beloved Jerusalem after the Babylonian captivity, along with his work of rebuilding the wall in its beginning stages.

This lesson shows us the first part of how Jesus fulfilled the Feast of Firstfruits as given in the Torah. See the power and impact of His resurrection in a new light.

Today we discover the people who returned to Jerusalem with Ezra and some of the restoration and wrong issues that Ezra had to deal with and correct.

Ezra records how opposition arose to hinder the rebuilding of the Temple, resulting in a delay until Haggai and Zechariah were sent by God to encourage them in the work.  Zerubbabel's Temple was then  completed and dedicated, and the people celebrated the Passover. We also see details about when Ezra actually came and became a part of this restoration project in Jerusalem.
