As Christians we believe that Jesus is coming again, and his return will usher in our hope of evil and sin being removed and love, joy and peace reigning forever. But should that hope affect our lives now and shape how we live? This week Matt unpacked some of the teaching Jesus gave to his disciples about how they should live between the resurrection and the return.

This week we heard 4 testimonies of how God led people through unexpected storms, and Matt shared some key ideas from Luke 8 about how we can trust Jesus to lead us through the storms we experience.

This week Barb took us through some of the healing miracles of Jesus, showing us how Jesus healed from a place of love, compassion, peace and authority. Following this Jesus sent out the 12, and the 72, to go and do the same and she challenged us that we too are called to become like Jesus bringing healing to our world.

This week Matt took us through Luke 2 and unpacked how, like in Mary's life, there is often more going on in our difficult situations than we might at first realise, and he shared some thoughts from the passage on how we can discover what God is up to.

This week Dennis took us through the covenant God made with Israel and the blessing and the curses that would follow if they listened to and obeyed the Lord.

We know that our God is good. We know that we live in His abundant grace and blessing. Yet we Christians still face problems. This week Matt unpacks some things we can learn from the Israelites' story about living in the promises of God while facing all kinds of problems, whether on the inside or on the outside.

This week Emmanuel gave us an overview of the gospel that is outlined in Romans 1-8, and how there is forgiveness, hope and new life, not because of anything that we have done or can do, but simply because of all that Jesus has done, and that the Spirit is doing.

This Sunday we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus, and Matt reminded us again that His resurrection is also our resurrection, and we are called out of the tomb and into life.

This week we looked at a passage where Jesus says there's more going on in the feeding of the 5000, and the 4000, than we first realised. As we looked more closely at these passages we saw how, in all things, Jesus is showing us that only He is the way the truth and the life.

As a church we want to be people that are seeking to become like Jesus. This week looking at Moses and the Israelites in Exodus 24, Matt shared with us some practises that help us to follow God and encounter Him more and more in our lives.

This week Dennis took us on a journey through the Old Testament story starting from Exodus 23 where the people are called to follow the presence of the Lord and obey Him. From this point on we see how things unfold in times where they are faithful to that call, and where they aren't, and the implications and effects of their actions.
