In James we discover how we can actively live our Godly wisdom with three things - choice, remaining consistent and relinquishing control. This helps us know that our character and our values are in alignment with Him.

The key to speaking life or death over those around you, whether family or in your community, is your identity in Christ. Our identity in Christ means that you become weapons and defenders for your home, your children, your family, your work space, for this church and for the house of God.

One of the greatest forces that God has given us is found in the tongue. This instrument is inconsistent, however it is also a point of possibility. May we utilize our tongue to be people of blessing and kingdom expansion.

We must be careful in the church to not have favorites. In James chapter two, we are warned about offering favoritism to people. As a part of the church, we are called to a higher calling in how we treat people we interact with. We are part of the kingdom of God, and James shows us how to live our lives honoring God's heart.

As we continue our Midweek series in James, we focus in on James 1:19-27. If we want to see spiritual victory, it starts with aligning our hearts fully with God. How do we get to a place where our hearts are aligned with God? Through transformed living. James shows us how!

The final part of the story of Isaiah culminates with a call to all people. It's the call each of us as Christians have from God each and every day. The Lord is looking for willing people. That when God asks, "Who will go?" we would answer, "send me!"

In Isaiah this week we dive into recognizing that this is a time of humbling and repentance. Jesus is the coal, taken from the altar of sacrifice, that cleanses us of our sins. And, we will be a people with the posture of humility, contrition, tenderheartedness, and repentance because our God is Holy.

In Isaiah’s vision of heaven, he watches as strange, angelic beings proclaim a declaration to the Lord. Their response and song is an example of how we too should respond to God’s greatness, holiness, and glory.

Temptation is all around us. Where does it come from? How can we combat it? As we continue our series in James, we look at how temptation affects us, and how we can combat it effectively.

In Isaiah's description of what he saw in Isaiah 6, he adds an interesting descriptor. He tells us about how the train of God's robe fills the temple. What was significant about this detail? The answer to that stirs our faith for our victorious our God is, and how we too can be victorious in Him!

The prophet Isaiah had a profound encounter with God in Isaiah chapter 6. Within the first few words of his encounter is deep truth of who God is, and who He should be in our lives. Who is on the throne of your heart? Have you surrendered it to God? Learn how!

David was about to face off against the Philistine army. In that moment, He seeks for favor from God for victory. What breakthrough and victory do you need in your life? The lessons from David's battle with the Philistines can help us know how to approach the battles in our lives, and how to find victory when we need it most!

In Week 2 of our MIDWEEK series on the book of James, we look deeper into the next section of James 1. In these verses, the writer reminds us the importance of asking God for wisdom, and for having endurance through troubles. The end result? Triumph in the Lord.
