From Isaiah 65. This chapters makes a sharp contrast between those who serve God and those who forsake him. For those who serve him, we are told of some amazing blessings coming our way in eternal glory. __________________________________________________________________________________________________

From Isaiah 63:15-64:12. We don't always know the right way to understand God. We don't always know the right way to pray. This section of Isaiah can help us to see that God is our loving Father and that we will be blessed as we seek him rightly. ________________________________________________________________________________________________

From Isaiah 63:1-14. Wrath is a real thing. We should know about it. But salvation is a wonderful thing. God has told us about both his wrath and his salvation. Let us not be unaware. ________________________________________________________________________________________________

From Isaiah 62. God wants to bring righteousness and salvation. He is pleased to have his light shine. He takes delight in his people.  ________________________________________________________________________________________________

From Isaiah 61. In this chapter, the Messiah is anointed to preach the good news. (Jesus quoted this very passage, saying he was the fulfillment of it.) This good news will bring wonderful changes for those who believe.  ________________________________________________________________________________________________

From Isaiah 60. God is light. God is glorious and beautiful. He has graciously revealed his light to us, so that we can walk in it instead of darkness. When we walk in his light, he transforms us. ________________________________________________________________________________________________

From Isaiah 59. This chapter vividly describes the problem of sin and its terrible results. But, amazingly, it also describes what God himself will do to restore those who repent. ________________________________________________________________________________________________

From Isaiah 58. In this chapter, the people are rebuked for thinking they were doing what was right, when in reality, their hearts were in the wrong place. Thankfully, God offers guidance and joy to those who will honor him. ________________________________________________________________________________________________

From Isaiah 57. This chapter describes some awfully wicked things the people of Israel had done. But it also gives an offer of healing and restoration to those who would be contrite - not unlike the story of the prodigal son. ________________________________________________________________________________________________

From Isaiah 56. In his mercy, God planned to reveal his righteousness. On our own, we were all unrighteous. May we listen to God's plan, as he has given an invitation for people to come to him. He will solve our problem of unrighteousness. ________________________________________________________________________________________________

From Isaiah 55. God invites us to belong to him. He invites us into an everlasting covenant. In this new life with him, we are to learn his ways and his thoughts, because they are better than ours. When these things happen, God will cause us to flourish. ________________________________________________________________________________________________

This is the sermon from our Easter service, from Isaiah 52:13-53:12. Amazingly, the book of Isaiah, written about 700 years before Jesus was born, tells of both the death and resurrection of Jesus. We can have healing and salvation because he died for our sins, but was also raised to life. ________________________________________________________________________________________________

From Isaiah 49:1-52:12. In these chapters, we read more about the servant of the Lord, who would bring salvation to the ends of the earth. There is good news! God told us ahead of time what he would do to rescue us from sin and death. ________________________________________________________________________________________________

From Isaiah 45-48. In these chapters, God revealed his plans to rescue his people from captivity. It can stand as a word picture of how God wants to rescue us. Only the one true God can rescue like this, and he told us ahead of time how he planned to do it. ________________________________________________________________________________________________

From Isaiah 41-44. In this section, we are introduced to the "servant" theme, a major theme in the coming sections of Isaiah. We are also reminded of God's strength in comparison to idols. He is our redeemer. May we return to him. ________________________________________________________________________________________________

From Isaiah 40. Salvation and strength are two wonderful things God wants to give to us. May we learn to trust in him and his ways. ________________________________________________________________________________________________
