In addition to local residents, COS President and co-founder Mark Meckler testified in favor of the legislation. West Virginia later became the 18th state to successfully join the Convention of States movement.

On April 14, 2021, a committee of the Maine House heard citizen testimony on the Convention of States Action resolution. In addition to local supporters, COS Senior Vice President for Legislative Affairs Rita Peters testifies in favor of COS Action’s Article V resolution for proposing term limits, fiscal restraints, and limits on the size and scope of the federal government.

On January 31, 2017, the Arizona House Federalism, Property Rights and Public Policy Committee held on a hearing on the Convention of States Action resolution. Later that year the Arizona legislature voted to become the ninth state to join the COS movement.
