Today's message is on the third commandment. This commandment will teach us that not only is God holy but also that His name is holy and that we need to be careful how we use His name when we speak. 

We continue our sermon series on Holiness: “Be Holy For I Am Holy-The Ten Commandments.” Today we look at the second commandment. We will be turning to Exodus 32 and will be challenged together regarding what we can learn from the character of God, Moses, and the people of Israel when it comes to Idolatry. 

"We are looking at the first commandment. Some say that this commandment is the most important of all the commands. It has to do with idolatry and how we have a tendency to put other things and or people before God."

Today we start our New Sermon Series, "Be Holy, For I Am Holy."   We explored the holiness of God and the holiness he expects from His people.

This week we are reminded about the new clothes/virtues that we as Christians are called to wear as a result of our new life in Christ. Colossians 3:12-14

Colossians 3:5-9 We still have in our hearts and on our hangers some of the old clothes (ie. old vices and sins).  What do we do with the old clothes?  Put them to death. Eliminate them.  Remove these clothes not just from the surface of our hearts but very deep in the recesses of our hearts and get rid of them. Allow the Holy Spirit to help you to remove these old clothes.  

God wants to be in partnership with us! "When you're in a Yoke with Jesus- He is well fitted you for that task."
