Lindsay Emmite is a multimedia artist who is a regular at art vending events in the Huntington area, known for her use of bright colors, they work to express joy through art. In today's episode of Commonplace, she talks to Nathan about the importance of making friends with other artists, what inspires her and why expressing that joy is a radical act.

Dylan Smith is a music video director that specializes in high energy rap videos made on a low-budget. He's worked with 3D Geo, CityPhil, Shelem, and previous Commonplace guests Mr. Awful and Buni Muni. He'll be releasing a video with rapper Father, who will be performing at The Loud on Saturday Sept. 24th, later this month.

Commonplace gets a little funky this week with Parry Casto (also known as Funkle Sam) of The MFB, and organizer of Funktafest. They talk about his instantly recognizable stage persona, the energy he brings to performing live, and the origins of Funktafest. This Monday, August 29th, marks the start of the Huntington Music and Arts Festival, a week-long celebration of the arts that culminates in an all-day concert at The Ritter.
