Commentary Companions: The Podcast!

To celebrate the film’s 30th anniversary, I’ll be doing a commentary episode about Toy Story, the first 3D computer animated film theatrically released.

In honor of Marvel’s first original family of superheroes getting their Marvel Cinematic Universe movie and in lieu of the film’s 20th anniversary, I’ll be doing a commentary on Fantastic Four from 2005. It’s clobberin time!

In this episode of Commentary Companions, we’ll be looking at Elektra, the spinoff follow-up to Daredevil.

Today I’m doing a commentary on the final installment of the Wesley Snipes Blade series, that being Blade Trinity, so let’s ice skate uphill and talk about this disappointing sequel.

And now back to doing audio commentaries. This time, I’m taking a look at Spider-Man 2, released in 2004 and starring Tobey Maguire.

Instead of an audio commentary, I’ll be doing a podcast episode about one of my favorite movie directors, Steven Spielberg. The way I see it, if you’re going to get into movies that were directed by Steven Spielberg, these are the essential movies you should watch that he directed that are practically a rite of passage.

To celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary, I’ll be talking about Batman Begins, the film that saved the Batman franchise.

Today I’m looking at The Punisher, released in 2004 and starring Thomas Jane.

On this day 20 years ago, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith was released in theaters. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, I’ll be doing a commentary on the final installment of the prequel trilogy.

Lambasted on release, Hulk from 2003 has gotten a bit of a reappraisal over the years, and I’m going to do a commentary on the Ang Lee film.

This year, we have a lot of anniversaries. We have the 85th anniversary of Robin The Boy Wonder, and Batman Forever is celebrating its 30th anniversary! And in light of the film’s star Val Kilmer passing away, I’ll be looking at the third Batman movie to honor his memory.

Today I’ll be looking at the 2002 live action Spider-Man movie directed by Sam Raimi and starring Tobey Maguire, one of my favorites!

To tie in with the live action remake, this episode I’ll be talking about the first animated movie, Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs, released in 1937. Feels appropriate to talk about Disney’s first legit movie.
