Comic Book Queers: Legacy

After a little birthday break, Brett and EvilJeff dive into that Multiverse of Madness trailer. We talk two weeks worth of X-Men books including Secret X-Men and X Lives/Deaths of Wolverine. We also talk about the season finale of our favorite TV of 2022, HBOMax's Peacemaker!

What a weird week in X-Men books! X Lives of Wolverine #2 creates a schism between Brett and EvilJeff! The X-Statix are back in X-Cellent #1. Nostalgia continues in X-Men Legends #11. And Sabretooth #1 was quite a surprise! All this plus a discussion around destructive behavioral patterns and our love of a good mystery. Plus, more Peacemaker!

We know it's not comics related, but everyone is talking about Yellowjackets! It hits very close to home for Brett and EvilJeff sympathizes. Back to comics though, we talk Devil's Reigns: X-Men, Death of Dr. Strange: X-Men/Black Knight, and The X Lives of Wolverine. Rainbow Rowell has a new She-Hulk book! And we can't not talk about Peacemaker E4.

A new Scream is in our lives! Brett and EvilJeff, who stan the franchise, have a lot to say about it. But where Scream represents a new beginning, our beloved X-Men book Marauders comes to an end. But who cares? Because we have a new favorite TV show — Peacemaker!

What an ending to a year of pure chaos magic! Brett and EvilJeff have seen Spider-Man: No Way Home and talk about it a lot. And then, it's here! Our Best Of 2021 Queerie Awards! What was our favorite genre entertainment of the year? Find out heeerrre!

Brett and EvilJeff get very exy this episode as they fan the flames of Inferno #3 and the final issue of Zeb Wells' Hellions. Plus! The Destiny of X teasers have dropped. They excite us for the post-Hickman era of Krakoa and expose our ignorance of biblical allusions. All this plus that incredible episode 4 of Marvel's Hawkeye!

Brett and EvilJeff don't have all that much to talk about this week but we still can't shut up. We notice Spider-Man: Across the Universe has a Part One! We languish through last week's x-books: Marauders #26 saw Bobby the 50-Foot Bottom; there's a "Trial" of "Magneto" #4; and Jeff forgot to read New Mutants #23! Plus we must talk about that episode 3 of Hawkeye, bro.

Brett and EvilJeff skipped last week so we have a lot to talk about like so much left over turkey. On the X-Men side, we digest X-Force #25, SWORD #10, Wolverine #18, and X-Men #5 (with some non X-book talk peppered throughout). On the TV/movie side, we cut up HBO’s Doom Patrol, Netflix’s League of Legends: Arcane, He-Man Revelations Part 2, Disney’s Encanto, and of course Marvel’s Hawkeye!

Walt Disney came down our chimneys and gave us a stocking full of Marvel shows on Disney+. We go through all the MCU previews and announcements. Then we talk about Excalibur #24 and Hellions #17.

Brett and EvilJeff review Marvel's Eternals with a lot of twists, turns, and tangents along the way. We also hit some Hot Topics like Gael Garcia Bernal in Werewolf By Night and the Morbius trailer dropping!

We are just going to talk about the X-Men this week. Inferno #2, Trial of Magneto #3, Marauders #25, Wolverine #17, and S.W.O.R.D. #9. We also probably recommend a scary movie and quote Clue while we're doing it.

Brett and EvilJeff pause and reflect on 200 god damn episodes! And we do it by talking about Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, David Lynch, Denis Villeneuve, and DUNE. Plus we feature an epic conversation about what is happening with The X-Men and Krakoa these days.

Jean Grey faces off against Nightmare on Halloween in X-Men #4. But that's not the only thing Brett and EvilJeff are excited about. DC Fandome launched a ton of trailers and announcements including The Batman, Black Adam, and The Flash. But that's not the only trailer we are excited for — Scream came out too! All this plus Superman & The Authority, Titans (HBO), and Doom Patrol (HBO)!

Brett went to NYCC and cannot wait to tell EvilJeff about it! Then we go from the island of Manhattan to the island of Krakoa with New Mutants #22, Excalibur #24, and Hellions #16. Our TV talk goes into the latest Titans and the finale of What If...? And for a treat, we hit upon some Halloween watching recommendations!
