Come To The Table

Have you ever been in a situation that seemed utterly hopeless? There’s no solution – you can’t find an answer and nothing you do changes the situation. This is where we find the Israelites in today’s message – they have an ocean on one side of them, and the Egyptian army on the other – the only foreseeable conclusion is death! But is that how God sees it? Pastor Mark will show you through Exodus...

Do you remember in Scripture when Jesus was tempted by the enemy? He was in the wilderness, away from all that was familiar– tired and hungry – and Satan shows up. Satan does his best to pull Jesus away from the mission of saving the world. But Jesus responds in the way you can too – He quotes Scripture! Pastor Mark will share a similarly dire situation the Israelites find themselves in – they’re...

Today we find the Israelites in a terrible situation – they’ve left Egypt, which is exactly what needed to happen – but now they’re at an impassible body of water, with the Egyptian army closing in. Picture yourself in that situation – you’d be afraid, right? Maybe looking to blame someone – like Moses? Or even God? As Pastor Mark said, it was God after all who led them there. Think about this too...

God didn’t rescue the Israelites from Egypt and then just set them out on their own. He didn’t say “well, I did my part – go do whatever you want.” God’s not like that – He wasn’t then, and He isn’t today! Pastor Mark will talk today about the guide provided to the Israelites as they headed toward their new home – the Promised Land. By day, it was a cloud they followed, and by night a pillar of fi...

If you’re a parent, you know how much there is for your children to learn. And you also know how much influence everything has on them – and why you need to protect them. Today Pastor Mark will remind you what an important job you have in raising these gifts from God, in teaching them the truth of the Bible while you still can. You are molding them into the men and women who will lead the future –...

The whole idea of the Passover makes it clear that God blesses His children. As you’ll see in today’s message with Pastor Mark, God gave everyone the opportunity to be saved from the 10th plague – the death of the firstborn. The Israelites were instructed to do specific things in order to be exempt from this terrible thing – but the Egyptians could have chosen to follow the example of the Israelit...

The Israelites FINALLY leave Egypt! The final plague has swept the nation, and Pharoah has relented – they can leave! And as you’ll discover in today’s message, they were given gifts to take with them. They had nothing, but God would provide all they needed for the next journey. Doesn’t that fit with your relationship with God today? Pastor Mark will draw another parallel between this event and th...

Today Pastor Mark will continue teaching about what we now know as Passover – and why it points to Jesus. As the final plague was about to start, God asked His people to do something unique – they needed to put blood on their doorposts. This was a sign to the Angel of Death – these houses are set apart for the Lord. They’re under HIS protection. Now – think about the cross that Jesus died on – His...

Did you know that about the Bible? That Jesus is found throughout Scripture? It’s true, and Pastor Mark will show you many examples today just from this chapter in the book of Exodus! God had a plan from the very beginning, because He knew sin would separate us. And He knew we’d need help - He’d have to do the work for us. Because God loves us more than we can understand, He wants to establish a p...

Have you ever had someone tell you to be less religious? You can have your beliefs, but just keep it to yourself – that’s for you, not for me. Well, as you’ll find out throughout the Bible and in today’s study, that’s not how God operates! God wants EVERYONE to have a chance at a new life, a forgiven life. One that doesn’t rely on what YOU can do, but on what God already did for you. Today Pastor...

Think about the darkest place you’ve ever been – maybe a cave or a room completely pitch black. You may enjoy the lack of light, but what if that’s all you knew for several days? Maybe for weeks? That kind of darkness begins to mess with your mind, joy and hope seem to disappear. And that’s exactly what this next plague has brought to the Egyptians! Pastor Mark reminds you of an incredible truth t...

The world doesn’t mind a little religion. Just look at the shelves of stores – there are little crosses here and there, or angels to watch over you. There are coexist bumper stickers, and people who proudly attend church twice a year for tradition’s sake. All of that is a little bit of religion, but it doesn’t change lives. It’s picked up when it’s convenient – and ONLY then. Today Pastor Mark tal...

If you’ve studied history, you know that the Egyptian nation had many gods – little “g” gods, meaning they were created by the Egyptians. They had no real power – they were just objects and concepts, ways to try to explain what couldn’t be easily understood. And as you’ve seen in this study of Exodus so far, God – big G, the true and living Creator – is besting them all. Today Pastor Mark will sha...

Pastor Mark tells you today that one day, every person who has ever lived will have to stand before the Lord. They’ll see God face to face, and it will be too late to make a decision to be saved by grace. At that point, no one will have an excuse. So, what does that mean for you? If you have already given your life to Christ, you’re saved. Now – go tell others about Him! And if you’ve been holding...

If you heard something horrible was about to happen and you had evidence to support the claim, wouldn’t you prepare for it? Most people would. And if you trust the source of the information, there’s even more reason to heed the warning! The Bible contains a lot of such information – warnings about things to come and the evidence to back it up. It also shows a rich history of God being right. If th...

When something big happens, the world tends to hear about it. A war breaks out – a pandemic – a controversial new leader takes office – it’s all over the news. Big things catch our attention and draw us in. And the thing is – that’s been happening for a long time! Pastor Mark tells you today how word traveled back in the days of Moses. Even without mass press releases or flooding social media feed...

If God said something was going to happen, and then it did, wouldn’t you believe? Most people would answer yes…but sometimes, pride gets in the way. People can be hard-hearted, refusing to give in to the evidence of truth. That’s certainly the case with Pharoah. At this point in our series, Pharoah has been through quite a few experiences that only God could have orchestrated. And he was told they...

Compromise in faith is a slippery slope – but it’s a tactic used by Satan often. And it’s not always easy to see – you’re still saying you’re a Christian, but maybe you’re letting quiet time slide. Or maybe work’s become a little busier, so you’re skipping time with the Word and with your brothers and sisters in Christ. Maybe you’re participating in questionable things, justifying them to yourself...

God is good – Satan isn’t. That might seem like an easy enough statement to believe, but sometimes we get it confused. We see the opportunity Satan tempts us with as good and full of personal gain…even if it takes us away from the things of God. Satan is subtle – he’s not going to paint the whole picture for you and show you how bad things will get. Pastor Mark will talk today about compromising y...

When God tries to get your attention – LISTEN! That might be the biggest takeaway as you join Pastor Mark for today’s message – God has something to say. And when He speaks, He wants you to hear. He wants you to stop sinning and start a new and better life with Him. That’s what He wanted for the Egyptians – and He gave them plenty of opportunities to turn around and try again. What has God been sa...

This picture God paints in the book of Exodus is one of God versus Satan – good versus evil. Pastor Mark will continue to expand on this idea as you listen, but the point of the message is clear – Satan – evil – wants to destroy. God wants to protect and rescue. And in the end, God will win! So, what does that mean for your life today? Well, neither God nor Satan has changed! The enemy is still tr...

Pastor Mark’s study of the book of Exodus has come to a point where Pharoah could have saved his people a lot of hardship. He COULD have seen God’s power and decided to let the people go. He would be witnessing some great things from the Lord – why not recognize it and admit the authority? But as you’ll see today, he doesn’t. Many people could admit that God is powerful. They SEE miracles. They HE...

God is going to move. Whatever situation you find yourself in today, believe that. God is going to move in your life, in your trial, in this world – and He’ll do it exactly as He knows is best. And – you can TRUST that it’s the best solution. How can you be sure of that though? Pastor Mark will tell you today – it’s because you see it happening AGAIN and AGAIN in the Bible! Don’t worry today about...

What is God asking you to do today? Is it something brand new, or has He been asking for a while? Today Pastor Mark shares some explanations Moses gave when God asked him to help free Israel from slavery – and it wasn’t the first time Moses used these same tired excuses! As you continue to grow in your faith and follow the Lord, you will be asked to do something – and it might be well outside your...

The God you read about in the Bible hasn’t changed – He’s been the same since before the world began. You know the same God that Moses did – God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit all existed and still do today. But your ability to experience Him HAS changed. Pastor Mark will tell you today that before Jesus came to die on the cross people couldn’t have the Holy Spirit dwelling IN them. Than...
