Barabbas in some ways represents us, a sinner who is freed because Christ summited to Calvary.

Pilate fell into the trap of caring more about what man thinks than what God thinks, if we are not careful that is a trap that we can fall into as well.

Pilate asks the Savior the heartbreaking question, "What is truth?" But then, ironically, he doesn't stick around for the answer from the Truth Himself. He turns outward and seeks opinion from others. In our search for truth, let's remember to seek truth from the source of all truth.

You and I are the cause for which Christ came into the world.

When we understand our purpose, why we are here, the choices that we make in this life become easier.

Verse 44 very simply describes the Savior's experience in Gethsemane and "agony." Such a central part of God's plan for His children summed up in such a small verse. What has Christ done for you? This verse explains it all!
