We close out our study in Galatians this week in chapter six with a guest speaker, Larry Barker.

The Bible teaches us that Holy Spirit is a person at work in our lives in order to grow spiritual fruit.  This week we continue into Galatians 5 and look at Three Features of The Holy Spirit.

This week we continue through the second half of chapter 3 of Galatians.  As we read through this passage we see an overall theme or message, "All People Across All Times Need Jesus."

In Galatians 1-2 we get to hear some of Paul's personal story.  How he found freedom in Christ and his journey of becoming a "freedom fighter."  This week we outline his story from persecutor to preacher.  One thing we want to take away from today's message is, "Like Paul, God saved you, by grace, through Jesus, for the sake of others and for His glory."

We're in week one of a nine-week series through the book of Galatians.  As we begin this study today we first want to look at the big picture.  What is Paul's tone?  Who are the key people?  What's the problem with the churches in Galatia and why is Paul writing this letter.  We're excited to dive deep into God's Word with this series.

In the culture that we're living in a lot of things can weigh us down and keep us from standing upright.  We no longer have to weigh ourselves down.  The grace of God can help us stand upright and unchain us from the things that are weighing us down.

Jesus gave us a very practical training on prayer in Matthew 6:5-15.  Something we often overlook in this passage is that Jesus spent more time instructing us about how to enter into prayer than He did about telling us how to pray.  In today's message we're looking at the ways Jesus instructed us to enter into prayer .

We wrap up our series this week with a guest speaker, Montana Jones, from Summit Church Saline.  He brought us a message on the importance and power behind community among the church.   As well as some thought-provoking questions like  "Would our community feel the loss of our churches if we closed our doors tomorrow?"

What does obedience in prayer lead to?  "Scripture shows obedience to prayer leads to the fulfillment of the Gospel."  As we continue our study through the first two chapters of acts we since a common theme.  Jesus' followers were devoted to prayer.

 Our church's mission is the basis for this sermon series, Knowing God and Making Him Known.   In the first few chapters of Acts, we see the power of the Holy Spirit and the power of prayer.  Today what we want to learn from these original church members is how the power of scripture works in our lives to Know Him and Make Him Known.

The bible references Jesus' second coming 1,845 times.  The second coming is second only to faith as the most dominant subject in the New Testament.  Even so, the subject still leaves many with questions.  So we're taking some time in this week's message to distinguish between The Rapture and the Second Coming and study the bible's description of His Second Coming.
