Clueless Crime

17 year old Kendrick Johnson went missing at school in January 2013, the following day his body was found inside a rolled up gym mat in his schools gymnasium. Was this a horrific accident or homicide? 

29 year old Tyler Davis disappeared the night of February 24th 2009 after travelling to Columbus, Ohio to celebrate his wife's birthday. He went for a walk outside their hotel at around 3am and has never returned.  

23 year old Krystal Fraser was days away from giving birth when she went missing in June of 2009. After 13 years we are still no closer to solving the mystery of what happened to Krystal and her unborn baby. 

53 year old Judy Baldwin had been a widow after losing her first husband, Todd, in a motorcycle accident. She then met her husband, Jamie a former police officer for the York and Columbia police departments in South Carolina. On the 14th of December, Jamie called 911 reporting they had been in a car accident and Judy was badly injured, only for Jamie to be charged with her murder. 

35 year old Stacey Thorne was found brutally murdered in the front yard of her home in December 2007. The father of her unborn baby, Scott Austic would quickly be arrested and charged with her murder, only to be acquitted 12 and a half years later.

26 year old Tina Watson died while scuba diving on her honeymoon at the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland. Her new husband Gabe was charged with manslaughter, but was it a tragic accident or pre-meditated murder?

31 year old Janine Vaughan, left a local nightclub in Bathurst NSW and was seen getting into a red car at around 3:50 am on Friday the 7th of December 2001, she has not been seen or heard from since. 

42 year-old Betsy Faria was found dead in her home by her husband on the night of December the 27th 2011. He would shortly be arrested for her murder. After two trials he is released after being found not guilty, and the spotlight would then turn to Betsy's best friend, Pam Hupp. 

20 year-old Cindy Anderson regularly had dreams that she was abducted and murdered by someone she knew. On the morning of August the 4th 1981, Cindy went to work at her job as a legal secretary, when her colleagues came to the office that day Cindy was no where to be found, and has not been seen since.  

Dubbed the 'Fatal Attraction Murder' due to it's similarities to the 1987 film of the same name, Betty Jeanne Solomon was found dead on the floor of her New York Apartment by her husband Paul. Carolyn Warmus, Paul's lover, was found guilty of her murder, but still maintains her innocence to this day, even after spending 27 years in jail for the crime. 

19 year old Elaine Park has not been seen or heard from since January the 28th 2017. Her car was found along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu with the keys in the ignition, the doors unlocked and her belongings inside. 

This week we discuss the case of Kathleen Peterson, who was found dead at the bottom of her stairs by her husband, Michael Peterson in a pool of her own blood. Straight away the police suspected Michael who claimed she fell down the stairs. Shortly after, Michael was charged with her murder.

On the night of September the 28th 2000, David Camm returned home from basketball to find his whole family murdered in their garage. As a former state trooper David jumped into action. It would only take local police three days to charge David with the murder of his family, an ordeal that would stretch over thirteen years and 3 criminal trials before the truth is finally revealed.

Jodi Arias is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander. Travis was found with 27 stab wounds, his throat slit ear to ear and a gun shot to the head. While Jodi’s story has changed many times over the years, Jodi claims she killed Travis in self-defence after being victimised by him during their relationship.  

32 Year Old Hannah Upp was living in St Thomas in the U.S Virgin Islands, teaching at a local Montessori school. As the island was preparing for Hurricane Maria to hit the island in September 2017, Hannah simply vanished from the island just 8 days after surviving another Hurricane, Hurricane Irma. 

19 year old Tara Calico left for her usual bike ride on the morning of September 20th 1988 and has not been seen since. The case went cold fairly quickly, until June 1989, when a strange development swept the nation. A woman in Port St. Joe, Florida spotted a gruesome polaroid photo in the parking lot of a convenience store.

Reeva Steenkamp was a South African model and paralegal who was dating south Africa's hero, Oscar Pistorius. On Valentine's Day in 2013, Reeva was shot and killed by Pistorius after he claimed he thought Reeva was an intruder in his home. 

On May the 26th 1990, while cooking breakfast for her son and his friends, 40 year old Marlene Warren answered the door to her Florida home. This was person was dressed as a clown, and pulled out a gun and fatally shot her in the face.  It took police 27 years to gather enough evidence to finally charge a person with her horrific murder.
