Your Honor, I call Clifton Ray Middleton to the stand. This is the story of my day in court, taking the stand, claiming my right to have the Ganja, exposing the lies about the herb and declaring my innocence based on Mens Ria, State of Mind.  

Deer Island, the Mother of all Busts and the End. In an act of final desperation, we set up a move on Deer Island, Maine. Beautiful for situation it was an ugly trap from the beginning. Getting busted we were used too, but this time was different.

This is the story of how Sister Jackie was called into court for using her house, 43 Star Island as a public nuisance. She took the stand to defend her and our right to have prayer and use marijuana. Her Tribe was being threatened, and like a modern day Esther she confronted the evil administrator who would destroy us; her only defense, prayer, a mystic psalm.

The Indictment, publicity and fame had turned the Star Island into a legal freak show. We called in the big guns, Ramsey Clark to argue the case along with a mob of lawyers. Our goal was nothing less than the total demolition of all laws against marijuana paving the way for a spiritual revival dreamed of by all faiths.

60 Minutes and Dan Rather blew the lid off just how wild the Coptics really were, triggering the Show Trial of Times.

Every white member of the Church had gathered at Star Island for the great Celebration culminating in the midnight arrival of tons of sacrament.

When heroes fail and the foundation is undone what do you do? Conflict among the church elders and the changing dynamic of moving out of Columbia instead of Jamaica has brought a sudden end to the Jamaican Dream. What is next?

We all have dreams and have worked hard to achieve them but what happens when the Dream turns out in a way you fear and dread?

The pressure was enormous, Sunday night, on a moon lit beach in the middle of absolute nowhere, in the presence of numerous AK-47s, surrounded by 30 Wayuu Indians, we scored 45,000 pounds for 1,300,000 cash, on the beach with hardly a spoken word, actions speak louder than words. This is without a doubt a night to measure all others.

The Columbian Caper, Cannabis Magnus Maximus , Marijuana usage was on fire in the 70’s and Columbia came on line with high quality herb in enormous quantities. Dozens of organizations began bringing in tons and tons Santa Marta’s finest. We wanted to join in on what was without a doubt, Peak Marijuana which meant the greatest smuggling adventures of all time.

Marijuana was the sacramental glue that the Great Revolution of the 70s shared and the Biz, the Ganja business funded the whole thing from the lowest to the highest level. In Jamaica the Coptics saved the entire economy while proving the power of an RBE, resource based economy when Black and White unite.

43 Star Island became the epicenter of the Coptic rise to fame and a modern day Camelot for marijuana advocates world wide. Dan Rather and '60 Minutes' made the Coptics and Star famous with his segment, “Holy Smoke”, documenting the many marijuana busts and wealth. This is how it happened ….

The Coptic brothers and sisters created a Kingdom, an entire world to show what Black and White together could achieve. Sudden wealth and success can trigger delusions of grandeur which I swallowed with relish and zeal. When finding out that the brothers sank the boat, two years of collective trial and tribulation drowned in one calamitous moment, I reacted in the only way I knew how.

Hearing about the resurrected, Black Ganja smoking Christ was simply irresistible, I had to see for myself, the ultimate quest.
