Paul re-aligns our tiny view of resurrection

February 16, 2025 Let's dig into what Paul is wrapping this letter up with, as he reminds the Corinthians of the Gospel. We're unpacking four crucial words: 1)Gospel 2)Crucified 3)Christ 4)Resurrection

Is Paul limiting the Spirit? Complete silence from the ladies? hmmm...let's take a look at how Paul shepherd's this Jesus community in Corinth.

Excel in building up the church...that's Paul's words. That's what he's spurring the Corinthians to do. Some stuff about languages and prophecy are in there too.

Clanging cymbals? Love as the ultimate marker of christian community? This isn't your grandparents 1 Corinthians 13. Paul is corrective and admonishing of the Corinthians. He doesn't ask them to consider this ethic of love but demands it.
