The God who is in heaven and does all he pleases has chosen to tie his glory to the salvation of His people. Therefore, we must trust him, even though He is not tame to our comforts, desires, nor our idols, he is to be trusted completely. This trust looks like forfeiting idols, opening our hands to receive blessing from Him, and ultimately expecting to bless His name.

All Christians are invited to participate in the most important part of the Jesus' mission - that is praying for laborers to go into the harvest. Therefore, pray, knowing that Jesus continues His mission through you.

Because God has delivered us in the past, we can persevere in hope through remembering/reciting His past deliverances, through praying "unless you" type prayers, and through doing these things when returning to worship with the church every week.

Because God is the Father of Lights, we must bless God, not blame Him. We bless Him by praising Him, believing Him, and obeying Him and all of this not only because He is due these things but also because He is perfect Light in whom there is no darkness, and because every gift is from Him above.

The Lord is forever faithful to His covenant children, so we must serve him wholeheartedly as sons and daughters. This requires self-forgetfulness and wholeheartedness on our part. In view of God's forever faithfulness, we can in confidence worship Him as His sons and daughters.

The Word of God is the one place God has promised to teach us of Himself, therefore we must be faithful to it, treating it like oxygen, our North Star, and our very treasured communication from God.

God knows how true our worship is, so we must truly love God and our neighbor. We do this by uniting our love and ridding ourselves of a divided allegiance between God and idols. We also do this by confessing where we are devoid of love for God and our neighbor. In doing these things, we will not be deceived about what we can expect from the Lord on the day that Christ returns.

God loved the world by sending His own Son, so you must believe in the Son of God. This believing looks like acknowledging that is is only God’s initiation that rescues you from your condemnation. This believing also looks like fleeing darkness and self-deception and resting on the righteousness of the Son of God sent for you.
