How do we respond to people who hurt us? Disappoint us? Even intentionally work against us? What is the response that Jesus has shown us? Can his kindness towards us be a pattern of our kindness towards others?

Not only does God see the person behind the stereotype, but he sees US behind our baggage. God sees the real you and invites you to live as you were meant to live, even when it feels like life is beating you down.

It is much easier to use broad brush strokes to define each other when we disagree. It allows us to objectify the person and turn them into an argument to be won, rather than a person to be loved. But Jesus calls us to see the person behind the stereotype.
