Jesus has given us everything we need to thrive in our faith, and yet the truth is it often remains hard to persevere on. In this talk we explore exactly what we need to do to thrive in faith and why the bible encourages us to keep meeting together - because we need each other!

In this talk, Al considers what God is doing in the area of Racial Reconciliation. Looking at the Parable of the Good Samaritan we ask: What is God's perspective? What does it mean to be a good neighbor? How can we all take steps toward greater reconciliation in our society today?

As we continue to unfold our Vision for 2021, Al talks about the opportunities we have to help those in need. Looking at Jesus' encounter with Bartimaeus, we see not God's call to hear the cry from 'the margins' and His call to follow Jesus to 'the margins.' Jesus brings us 'Beauty from Ashes'. In this talk Al kicks off 2021 by reflecting on that profound truth. He shares an exciting vision for the year ahead in which Jesus invites us to the 'great gift exchange' - our ashes for the beauty he offers.

With Jesus' birth, the light of life came into the world. How should we respond? Jesus simply says 'You are the light of the world'. What are we to make of that? and how does that help us know how to respond to the incredible gift Jesus brings at Christmas? Matthew 4:12-17 & 5:14-16

Many of us feel things are happening around us that we can’t control. We long for the right outcomes and we believe nothing is impossible for God. But what is the church supposed to do when we can’t make things happen the way we want? This Sunday we look at a story from the Old Testament when Israel was in just such an impossible situation, and why God told his people to dig ditches.
