Following Jesus means we leave something and gain something. If we say something is off limits to Jesus, it is that very thing that we love first. In other words, that is something we worship other than God. So more specifically, following Jesus means we leave everything and gain even more.

We live in an information age with more voice is trying to get their message in our ears than ever. Whether we realize it or not these voices are shaping our values and desires. In the midst of the noise, how can we listen for the voice that brings security, joy, and purpose?

Our souls are hunters. There is something deep down, maybe even imperceptible that your soul is searching for. Something that you crave that you are convinced will make your life what it is supposed to be. Maybe you even think you know what that is. But what if it is not a thing but a person. And what if we don’t find it, He finds us.

There are so many things that are contagious other than a virus. Laughter can spread, but so can bitterness. Fear can spread, but so can hope. There is one thing that needs to spread through our cities right now. And if we are going to spread it, we first have to catch it.

In the midst of the complexity and confusion, there is so much that is reassuring when we rest in the simplicity of how Jesus says to us, “follow me.” Join us this week as we learn what it means to follow the Rabbi who sees.
