When Jesus died on the cross, Satan was defeated and all his spiritual forces were disarmed! We look at Colossians 2:6-15 and learn what Paul says this means for us as believers of Jesus.

No sacrifice is too great for the gospel! This week, we continue our study in Colossians and are charged to put forth our best effort to advance the gospel.

Jesus is the firstborn over all creation and the head of the Church, but what does that really mean for us? Pastor Shannon teaches us how Christ is not only the head of the Church, but there is a living relationship between Christ and His Church.

 In week 2 of this series, Pastor Shannon encourages us to commit to pray for one another so that we may grow in the knowledge of Christ and walk worthy of our callings.

Our God is fiercely loyal to His people! How do we respond to such a loyal and loving God? Pastor Shannon reminds us of the proper response to such a loving and faithful God.

 To begin this series, we take a look at the first characteristic God used to describe Himself in Exodus: compassionate. We see that the compassion of God carries through both the Old and New Testaments and is extended toward us still today.

We evaluate situations based on cognitive biases created by our past experiences and preferences, but what if we interpreted our circumstance through the goodness of God? We are challenged to reframe our thoughts and see our situations through a different and better lens.

No more shame and no more need for approval… the journey toward healing starts now, and freedom is on its way! In week 6 of “In My Head,” Pastor Shannon brings this gentle reminder: Jesus took our shame on the cross, and in Him, we are forgiven and accepted.

Freedom is possible in your mind, but it doesn’t just happen; it takes training! We are challenged to train our minds toward the truth, and Pastor Shannon provides practical steps to do so.

You don’t have what it takes to win the battle in your mind on your own. Pastor Shannon shares a word that will challenge you to desire the mind of Christ so that you may receive a supernatural power over your thought life.

When the truth and lies are before you, which will you choose to believe? One of the greatest tools the enemy uses in the battle of the mind is confusion, and this week, we are reminded that we have the choice whether we set our minds on the Spirit or on the flesh.

There is a war going on, and the battlefield is your mind! In week 1 of this series, we are encouraged to take every thought captive and receive freedom from toxic thinking.

Pastor Shannon takes some time to introduce our theme for 2023. As a church, our desire this year is that we would help each other develop healthy rhythms that we might grow closer to God and become more like Christ!

God sent His son to the earth to die for our sins as the most ultimate act of true love. Pastor Shannon reminds us that THIS is central message of Christmas, but we aren’t to be selfish with this love. We are to extend it to others!

As humans, we are not naturally at peace with God. Pastor Shannon reminds us that peace only comes through Jesus, and true peace is available for us all if we would just receive it.

Where do we put our hope as followers of Christ in a season of waiting? We put our hope in Christ, and Pastor Shannon gently reminds us in week 1 of “Advent” that hope in Christ never disappoints.

Formation is the deep work! In this sermon, we are reminded that transformation from Christ will take place as we forgive the past, stand in the present, and believe for the future.
