This week's show was loosely subtitled "Where Does The Truth Lie?" Some may say it lies in gardens, most say politicians lie all the time. So, to change the subject, I played lots of old favourites and new releases as well!

Some songs for Halloween, some new releases, some topical songs, and a bit of a guide to what's on around town

Lots of new releases this week. Lots of Celtic music. Lots of artists coming to town and lots of dissenting voices. Get out and vote, people!!

Canada legalizes pot this week, so a few songs on the topic. Also, features on The Fretless and The East Pointers as part of "Celtic Colours West" - and a look at what's happening this week at the real Celtic Colours in Cape Breton.

Started with new releases from Ethiopia, Scandinavia and beyond. Finished up with a Ceilidh (aka "Celtic Colours West"). In between, RIPs to Otish Rush, Marty Balin, and Maartin Allcock, and an interview with Blues singer Guy Davis that I made at the Vancouver Folk Festival in July.

This week's show featured loads of new releases from Cuba, Haiti, Canada, U.K., and more. Ended up with a phone interview from Folk Royalty Persona Judy Collins. What a wonderful woman! What a wonderful singer!

Lots of new music, good Canadian music, and heaps of very creative songwriters and musicians this week. Lots to discover on your musical journey!

The sudden and shocking death of Rogue volunteer Mary Bentley dominated the show this week. We also lost Rachid Taha, the Algerian Rai singer who inspired The Clash to write Rock The Casbah. New music from Marc Ribot, Mike Farris, Richard Thompson, and stunning Haitian singer Moonlight Benjamin were also featured, and there was a spotlight on Craig Cardiff too.

A question, or a statement of intent? A bit of both I suppose. Lots of music by artists coming to town in the next few weeks, and plenty of new releases too. Also R.I.P. John Munro, longtime sidekick of Australian-Scots songwriter Eric Bogle.

This week's show featured many of the artists playing next weekend's Edmonton Folk Music Festival. I call it the Rolls Royce of Folk Festivals. Probably the best one in Canada, and therefore the best on the planet!

it's the hottest weekend of the Summer, so a bit of nostalgia and a lot of heat thrown in to today's show. Tropical songs, topical songs (hot under the collar), and some self-indulgence for my birthday week too!

Plus a song to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of The Beatles cartoon film Yellow Submarine - which has been remastered and opens at The Park cinema tomorrow

On the eve of Canada Day this show featured lots of Canadains from every province - and Yukon. Also paid homage to Robert Plant, who played a majestic gig last night at the QE. Previews of the Vancouver and Mission Folk Festivals, and lots of Roguery as well!

Lots of harps, then previews of Vancouver Folk Festival and TD International Jazz Festival shows sprinkled amongst new releases and more!

Just got back from an amazing tour of Italy, so I played a lot of Italian music, as well as songs which fit the general theme of the trip. Ran 48 minutes over, giving me a chance to play some new releases and promote some Jazz Fest shows as well.

New music from Ry Cooder, Fatoumata Diawara, Kiran Ahluwalia, Toto Bona Lokua, Los Texmaniacs, Grupo Mono Blanco etc. Plus mini-features on Welsh slide guitarist Martin Harley, American songwriter Ellis Paul, and a few Van Folk Fest highlights - and an exclusive track from Paul Simon. Sprinkled the show with a few tunes by Manchester United fans, alas to no avail.
