Churchcentral Birmingham: Talks

As a church one of our vision strands is to be 'for the good of the city'. But what does that look like? Several times a year, we have Serve The City Sundays, mornings that dial up the volume on this part of our calling as disciples. In this session, Karen shows us what it might look like to begin to live out a costly love for our neighbours.

We start a whistle-stop tour of the book of Isaiah in the run up to Easter. Today, we're in chapter 6 exploring the theme of idols.

We see more of the story of Jonah as God comes to him, despite his many failings, with an amazing calling.

Revelation is given so that we might see things as they really are. Here, we get given a very vivid image of a prostitute riding a beast. Rich helps us explore it and calls us to live in light of it.

The seven bowls take us deeper into the themes of justice & judgment, and show us not only some sobering truths about God's wrath, but some stunning truths about his patience and kindness.

Revelation 14 provides a vivid picture of the end of time. What will happen? And how should that impact how we live now?
