In a culture that prioritizes unbelief and hopelessness, the final line of the Apostles' Creed fights against this. "Amen" is not a mere throwaway line or a good closer, it is an affirmation of God's character and anticipation that God will do what He says. In our final encounter, we follow the conversion and commission of Saul. When Saul encounters the resurrected Jesus, he is given a new way of seeing and a new way of living.

It's no secret that our world has a crisis of authority. Even for Christians, when it comes down to the issue of obedience, we don’t really believe Jesus has all authority, so we don’t obey Him. But what we see in Matthew 28 is that not only does Jesus have authority, He has ALL authority. Because of this truth, we should obey Him as He comforts, calls, and encourages us.
