In this series, Fr. James McConville looks at "Thaïs," an opera by Jules Massenet based on the novel Thaïs by Anatole France. Thaïs is an historical story that takes place in Egypt about a monk's attempts to convert the Venus-worshipping protagonist to Christianity, but succumbs to his true motivations.

Dr. Mark Spencer, professor of philosophy at University of St. Thomas, explores the rich life and thought of Dietrich von Hildebrand: defender of the faith and ardent opponent to Hitler's Germany who was described by Pope Pius XII as "the twentieth-century Doctor of the Church" for his philosophical contribution to Christian thought.
