Church Leadership Archives - Stand Up For The Truth Podcast

If you listen to atheists, secularists and even some who claim to be Christians, you might think the Bible is nothing more than a bunch of man-made stories, full of confusion and contradictions.  But in reality, it is the only thing we can look to for lasting truth.  God - who has always existed and always will exist, knows all things past, present and future, and is the only one who can speak abs...

The attacks on the validity and truth of the Bible have become more common and intense. How can we know that the Bible is the Word of God and answer the charges of skeptics? Pastor Randy White joins Mike and David for a look at the history of the Bible and how we can confront false accusations about it with truth. Today we take another look at the state of Christianity in America and discuss the real hostility and discrimination against believers in Christ, as well as the possibility the gospel may soon be banned in our nation.  We discuss the so-called Equality Act and its threat to Bible-believing Christians, and explain how the church itself has practically opened the door to welcome discrimination again...

Pastor Carl Gallups joins Mike and David to discuss an article from the Christian Post speculating on what healthy American Churches will look like ten years from now. We start our discussion on this topic assuming we will not yet face open persecution for our Christian beliefs ten years from now.  What kind of changes will we see in strong Christian churches in America? The post What Will the Chu...

In our first segment, we visit with Dr. Corey Miller, president and CEO of Ratio Christi Ministries, discussing the growing threats to religious freedoms on school campuses. Mike and David also look at a perspective on persecution from David Curry, President of Open Doors, USA.  Mr. Curry admonishes the American Church for being enamored with entertainment while our Christian brothers and sisters...

Sharing the gospel in foreign lands has always been difficult, but these days there are challenges that are making the task increasingly difficult and dangerous.  Radical Islam has been emboldened by ruthless leaders and a media willfully silent on its evil actions. Even within missionary circles there seems to be confusion on how best to share the gospel, making the task all the more difficult. ...

For Christians seeking to understand the last days, fewer things grab our attention than talk of a Middle East Peace Plan between Israel and her enemies.  Many believe Daniel chapter 9 talks about a seven year peace treaty between Anti-Christ and Israel that will usher in the final countdown to the return of Jesus to judge all men and nations. President Trump is unveiling his "Deal of the Century,...

As American Christianity generally bends over backwards to be seen as "loving" to the world, we have seen secular culture extend its influence within the church.  From the social justice movement to the powerful LGBTQ lobby, we see more and more churches accommodating things of this world directly contradictory to the Bible.  And now, with another presidential election on the horizon we are seeing...

Wednesday, we aired the first hour of a conversation with former muslim, now born-again evangelist/missionary Elijah Abraham and Apologist Jay Segert of The Starting Point Project when they were in town for our Watchman Conference. Today, this tough conversation continues.  Mike and our guests discuss the challenges and the possible future of "organized church" in America. The post The Condition o...

The accepted American formula for success includes graduating High School and then going off to College to establish a foundation for success as an adult.  The only problem is this:  it isn't working!  Youth are graduating College often with useless degrees, indoctrinated into an anti-biblical worldview, strapped with massive debt and a feeling of hopelessness. This morning Dave Wager of Nicolet B...

In what we call the Great Commission, Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples and teach them everything He commanded. Doctrine ('doctrina,' Lat.) simply means "teaching." In Acts chapter 2, the foundation of the early church was the teaching of those apostles. Without a solid foundation of accurate biblical doctrine, a church becomes nothing more than a social club. But doctrine has almost...

The economy in our nation is doing well and many Americans feel life is pretty good.  But there are storms brewing that might threaten to bring more chaos and division to our nation as the underlying social and spiritual fabric of our nation spirals downward. Democrats seem intent on getting rid of President Trump regardless of the cost, tensions in the Middle East are ratcheting up, and Americans...

John Loeffler of Steel on Steel Radio has witnessed and addressed the attacks on both our churches and our nation by radical ideologies and movements, and joins Mike and David to discuss the many challenges our nation and Christian Churches face today. We start with a promise from Jesus: the gates of hell will not prevail against His true church.  But there has been compromise and complacency as w...

This morning we look at the continued fallout from a couple of Chicago area megachurches that allowed secular principles and techniques to influence how they conduct church. Harvest Bible Church is reeling from the financial corruption of now dismissed Pastor James McDonald while Willow Creek is back in the news as liberal Democrat Senator Cory Booker is under fire from the LGBTQ community for spe...

Where can we get the truth about attacks against Israel? Are they provoking these attacks? In the last 24 hours, more than 600 rockets have been fired at Israel from Gaza. The death toll is rising. And it seems what often makes the news is when Israel retaliates. The U.S. is moving a powerful naval armada into the Middle East to send a strong message to Muslim nations should they consider attackin...
