Proximity is a series of conversations about discipleship and following Jesus closely. In the first session of Proximity, John is joined by Tiria and Simon to unpack the question, 'What is a Disciple?'

Happy New Year! In this podcast, Simon speaks about the vision and hopes of Church Collective in 2023. (This is the audio file taken from the new year video, released on Youtube on 1st Jan 2023 as well).  

Simon explores what it looks like to serve locally, focusing particularly on serving in our actions. 

Simon, John, and Sarah have a conversation about how they endeavour to love generously in their communities and workspaces and ask each of us to think about how God might be calling us to do the same. 

John, Mark, and Bobbi have a conversation about the love that Jesus has for each and every one of us, which (spoiler alert!) is beyond generous and everlasting! Join them as they share some of their own experiences of what it is to receive this generous love and the impact that has had on their lives.

In the first of two episodes looking at our value of 'Worship Creatively', Mark and Simon explore the theological basis of worship, what worship is, and how we worship. 

Part 1 of a mini-series looking at the values of Church Collective. In this episode, Simon talks about how the values were founded, what the values of Church Collective are, and why everyone is invited to play their part in outworking these values. 

Simon goes through 7 lessons he has learned in the early stages of planting Church Collective. The podcast will then pause for the summer, returning in the Autumn to work through a series on the values of Church Collective. 

Sarah, on behalf of Mark and herself, describes the journey of keeping going in prayer, in the midst of pain. On behalf of every listener, we thank Sarah and Mark for their honesty and vulnerability as they share this lived-out story. 

In the next installment of our mini-series on prayer, Simon explores whether prayer is missional. 

Prayer is fundamental, both to our relationship with Jesus, but also within church planting. This first episode of a mini-series on prayer looks at how and why we pray. 

Simon interviews the leader of the Joshua Center, Dan Rogers, on the topic of 'the Great Reversal'.  

Simon interviews Reanne on how she has taken steps of faith in her life. One significant step of faith was taking on the role of Pioneer Youth Pastor for Church Collective, which she speaks in depth about, linking to Mark 1: 16-18. 

Heather explores what it looks like to take a step of faith, using Isaiah 54 and 55. 

Simon interviews his friend, Mark, on how Jesus is the centre of the Christian faith, how we ensure Jesus is the centre of our lives and the impact that has on our day to day lives.

Practically, how do we hear from God? Using Pete Greig's framework from His new book, we look together at how we can hear from God through a mixture of teaching and stories. 

Simon interview his previous vicar, Rev. Steve, on how he hears from God and is guided by him. This episode particularly focuses on God guiding us as we make decision's in our lives. 

In this episode Simon interviews a friend who is particularly gifted in the prophetic. Phil tells us how He hears from God and many stories of how that has impacted people's lives...and one of them involves Simon and Hannah's move to plant Church Collective! 

In this episode we hear how the story started for Heather (Curate of Church Collective), Mark (Resource and Creative Director) and Simon (Lead Pastor) as they describe how they came to faith in God and their journey to be a part of Church Collective.
