Weekly Word 65 20.02.2024 19:39
Long time between recordings, but here we are in 2024. This episode I focus and reminisce on some bands that I used to like.
Weekly Word 64 - Merry everything? 14.11.2023 10:32
Merry Everything, ladies and gentlemen. https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/real-life/news-life/pacific-werribee-changes-merry-everything-sign-after-backlash/news-story/0c46e74abdbc3221e377a9dd9489fb3b
Weekly Word 62 - Hiroshima, the Peace Museum, and the current state of the world. 13.11.2023 17:20
When I was in Japan for work, I visited the Peace Museum in Hiroshima. It’s purpose is to show the human cost of war. Wars are fought between governments and principalities. Who suffers the most, but the innocent civilians caught in the middle. Much like it is the Israeli and Palestinian civilians who are likely to suffer the greatest losses in the current conflict. By the way, all you Ukrainian f...
Weekly Word 61 - 9/11, Biden not attending the ceremony in New York, and chaplains in Queensland. 12.09.2023 21:00
https://bridgetobrisbane.gofundraise.com.au/page/CaitlinWestaway Weekly Word from the car again. My mind can link things together that otherwise aren't related. On the anniversary of 9/11, I somehow went to school chaplains in Queensland. They have to fundraise most of their incomes, which means much of their attention and energy is spent keeping their jobs funded rather than working with stud...
Weekly Word 59 - response to Koraly Dimitriadis' opinion on sex for children. 26.07.2023 16:54
In response to the 'outrage' regarding the newly-released Sex For Children book, Koraly Dimitriadis writes that simply because children have the ability to access countless hours of pornographic material, they should read this book. I repeat myself when I say I have no idea why these people want 10-year-olds to learn how to perform blowjobs. https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/parenting/teen...
Weekly Word 58 - Yumi Stynes, Dr Melissa Kang, and Big W want to teach sex to children. 19.07.2023 19:13
Big W, popular department store in Australia, has decided that a book encouraging children to participate in sex, written by Yumi Stynes and Dr Melissa Kang, should be on their shelves. I will never understand why these people think that children ought to be taught explicit sexual content, tips, and techniques. Make the logical and coherent argument to me that children need to be shown and taught...
Weekly Word 57 - Pride: a Christian teacher fired, 12 year olds changing gender, and gay penguins. 21.06.2023 17:31
One of the more strange weeks in Pride Month 2023. A teacher in New Zealand was deregistered for refusing to use the so-called 'preferred pronouns' of a student. Children as young as 12 are able to change their gender on their birth certificate without any treatment whatsoever. And apparently penguins are gay, and they're great role models for teaching children as young as 6 about sexu...
Weekly Word 56: Pride Month part 3. A Christian who compromises is not a Christian. 14.06.2023 18:09
Pride month part 3. Jetstar can't make a plane depart or land on time, but in good news they have eliminated gender from their uniforms. A Christian doctor in the UK is sacked for refusing to play pronoun games in a simulated training exercise, and Christianity remains one of the only religions not protected by anti-discrimination laws. https://www.skynews.com.au/opinion/the-relentless-push-to...
Weekly Word 55 - Pride month part 2: to apologise, or not to apologise? That is the question... 06.06.2023 19:44
Pride month part 2. Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Anthony Bass' apology to the 'Pride' community reminded me of Israel Folau and his staunch public adherence to his Christian faith. Bass apologised for his beliefs, and is now undergoing re-education. Sad, really. His apology is a sign of weakness, not of virtue. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/37761870/blue-jays-anthony-bass-apologizes...
Weekly Word 54 - Pride month! Ready to be bombarded by rainbows? 30.05.2023 15:18
Pride month is almost upon us. Are you ready to be bombarded by rainbows? Or are you, as a Christian, willing to stand and reclaim the rainbow as a symbol of God's covenant to never again flood the earth?
Weekly Word 53 - what is the role of government and should Christians automatically obey them? 24.05.2023 25:19
This week, particularly considering the actions of Daniel Andrews and Labor in Victoria openly opposing women's rights, flying the trans flag over parliament house, and hosting drag queen story hours, I question what the role of government should be. Should we, as Christians, obey at all costs? https://www.news.com.au/finance/economy/australian-economy/nonsense-radio-host-blasts-daniel-andrews...
Weekly Word 52 - Drag queens calling for protection and adults stripping for children. Mad. 18.04.2023 16:17
In what is becoming typical of Melbourne and Victoria under Daniel Andrews, a drag queen has called for more protection from authorities after cancelling hosting an event for children. And for some reason, Channel 4 in England thought adults stripping for children was a great idea for a television show. https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/the-worst-of-american-politics-premier-backs-drag-p...
Weekly Word 51 - Moira Deeming continued, plus tragedy in Nashville. 28.03.2023 16:23
Moira Deeming has been given a 9-month suspension from the Victorian LNP and their spineless leader John Pesutto. I guess women's rights aren't worth fighting for in Victoria. And the events in Nashville were tragic. Prayers to all involved. https://www.news.com.au/world/north-america/three-kids-and-four-adults-including-gunwoman-dead-in-us-private-school-shooting/news-story/66ea66aa9a965c...
Weekly Word 50 - Liberal National Party are weak 21.03.2023 19:31
Welcome to my fiftieth video. Didn't think I'd ever get the courage to do one, let alone fifty. Women's rights event in Victoria, hijacked by a few Nazi's. Naturally, what does the media focus on? Yep, you guessed it. Not women's rights. And Victorian LNP leader John Pesutto needs to resign.
Weekly Word 49 - Response to The Project and Rueben Kaye. 07.03.2023 24:18
Rueben Kaye makes a joke about Jesus on Channel Ten's The Project, and they issue a grovelling apology. The joke wasn't that bad, particularly since Kaye is gay and proud of it, and the apology was half-baked at best. Problem is, too many Christians for my liking started calling for The Project to be cut from Channel 10. If we ask for such actions, we are no better than BLM or rainbow activists wh...
Weekly Word 48 - rainbows, rainbows everywhere. Must be Mardi Gras time. Ask the Prime Minister... 28.02.2023 16:19
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese made a very public showing of being the first Prime Minister to march in the Mardi Gras. It's a pity that this show of diversity, equity, inclusion etc has done little to curb the crime in Alice Springs. Similarly, Biden's $100 million to Ukraine has done little to help the people of Ohio.
Weekly Word 47 - responding to trolls and opposing viewpoints 21.02.2023 18:21
I don't mind if people troll my socials. Fine by me. But there's a way that we as Christians need to respond. Firstly, the time for defence is over. Be offensive and challenge opposing viewpoints. Secondly, don't get caught in illogical circular fallacies and incorrect use of language. @christianityoutloud on GETTR. Follow me on Minds, Gab, Facebook, and Locals. Weekly Word 46 - New York Islanders, Sonny Bill Williams, and Bethany Hamilton versus rainbows. 07.02.2023 21:02
What do the New York Islanders, Sonny Bill Williams, and Bethany Hamilton have in common? Ask the rainbow brigade, and they all have an irrational fear of trans/LGBTQI+ people. Also, book your tickets to Launceston Library's Drag Queen Story Hour. Link is below. https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/drag-storytime-launceston-library-tickets-528970373627 https://wwos.nine.com.au/news/surfing-transgender-...
Weekly Word 45 - Crowder v The Daily Wire 24.01.2023 12:11
Steven Crowder v The Daily Wire. We need to remember who our true enemies are, and maybe focus on them rather than on each other.
Weekly Word 44 - Victoria and China. 29.11.2022 24:53
Daniel Andrews and Labor had an expected win in Victoria's state election. Not surprising, but perhaps surprising is the Australian federal government's lack of criticism so far of the Chinese government's obvious oppression of the Chinese citizens under the cover of a 'Covid zero' policy. Wonder why...
Weekly Word 43 - marriage equality five years on... 15.11.2022 23:10
November 15th, 2017, and Australia voted on the Marriage Equality bill. The result was in the affirmative. Five years on though, and we have seen increased encroachment on religion, religious freedoms, religious expression, religious institutions, and children are now the frontline of the so-called 'equity, inclusion, and diversity' battleground. Was it worth it? www.christianityoutloud.com.au htt...
Weekly Word 42 - response to a Covid amnesty as a Christian 08.11.2022 23:37
Some have called for a Covid amnesty, seeking apologies from both sides. Yeah, I'm not buying it. Until there is genuine repentence, they are to me as Gentiles and tax collectors. www.christianityoutloud.com.au https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/health/health-problems/the-atlantic-calls-for-pandemic-amnesty-after-mistakes-during-covid-response/news-story/0028dace290d6cd5dc12500d939c148a
Weekly Word 41 - government's response to Covid was wrong, and Jesus Christ proclaimed in Abu Dhabi. 25.10.2022 15:52
Two reports have slammed the government's response to Covid and the measures they implemented. No surprise that Daniel Andrews and Annastacia Palaszczuk lack the humility to admit they may have been wrong. Bringing me to my continued disappointment that churches nation-wide closed when a Christian recently proclaimed the freedom found in Jesus to a predominantly Islamic audience. www.christianityo...
Weekly Word 40 - reaction to John Oliver and his madness. 18.10.2022 16:39
John Oliver is British, trying to tell Americans how their country and states should run. He evidently has no idea what parenting is, and how he feels matters more than what is right or good for him. https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2022/oct/17/john-oliver-last-week-tonight-recap-trans-rights? CMP=oth_b-aplnews_d-3
Weekly Word 39 - a bit of everything. 11.10.2022 9:55
Essendon Football Club hates Christians, David Koch is not a good interviewer, Russia bombs more of Ukraine including the German embassy, Germany sends air defence systems....but do not fear.
