I was reflecting on the beauty of my relationship with God and wondered why many others don't seek Him. He responded “Fear. So many are wrapped up in insecurities about themselves that spill over into their roles, relationships and life that they don't have time for Me because they are trying to secure life not realizing I am the way, the truth and the life”.

Embrace the love of Jesus. He loves you so much and has all of your tears and prayers. Don't suppress and live with hurt, pain and hardship. It is doing a dark work in you unaware. Instead, bring it all to Jesus and  let Him pour out His love on you and bask in it.

We must eat and provide for others. Continue to seek God and invite Him into your devotion time and days. Trust that at any job you are developing skills and character building that will be needed for your purpose.

You deserve rest. Is your self worth tied to your productivity? Does your completed checklist validate your worthiness of titles or lend credibility to your roles? Know that there are rhythms of work and rest that even God followed. As you are made in His image so must you. Take a day to rest or at least slow down. Deal with what comes up. Who’s voices of laziness, sloth, unworthiness is that?

How to manage the duality of contentment for today and expectancy for tomorrow. The danger is not in contentment but in comfort, laziness and stagnation of the moment. In contentment we are satisfied and at rest in God trusting him with the moment but also building for the next moment in faith and expectancy.
