Pastor Buck continues CTK's sermon series A Praying Community by preaching on Mark 11. In this passage, we learn about Jesus' passion for communion with outsiders as he cleanses the temple. 

This week, we continue our Praying Community sermon series by looking at Matthew 6.  Pastor Buck examines this passage from the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus invites us to let him deep into our hearts when we pray.

This week Pastor Buck continues the Praying Community sermon series on prayer by looking at the parable told by Jesus in Luke 18 about how to "always pray and never give up."

This week in our Praying Community series, Pastor Buck looks at a parable that Jesus tells his disciples about how to pray in Luke 18.  In this story, Jesus tells of an encounter between two neighbors to show how we are to have "shameless audacity" when we pray.

In this training talk, Pastor Buck discusses the fifth membership vow: Do you submit yourselves to the government and discipline of the church, and promise to study its purity and peace?

We continue our sermon series on prayer as Dr. Paul Kooistra preaches on Ephesians 3:14-21. He teaches us 5 ways that this prayer can shape our prayer lives. 

Pastor Buck continues launch team training on the membership vows at CTK. This week he teaches on the 4th vow, "Do you promise to support the church in its worship and work to the best of your ability?"

In the second sermon in the Praying Community series, Pastor Buck looks at Matthew 26. In this passage we see the disciples and Jesus praying in the garden of Gethsemane,  and learn how Jesus' prayers undergird and support our prayers every day.  

In this training talk, Pastor Buck teaches on the nature of sanctification (the process of becoming more and more like Jesus),  and how we participate in this process as we seek to keep the third membership vow. 

In this training session, Pastor Buck explains the third membership vow in light of the first two. He also introduces the theological concepts of justification and sanctification, and how they work themselves out in the membership vows.
