Throughout our lives we encounter seasons when we move in and out of faith in the same way we move in and out of our favorite cafes– ordering up whatever characteristic of God that we want in our "spiritual lattes." "Our Community" series takes us on a journey of the book of 1 John and today we look at the following: It's one thing to believe in God, but what do you actually believe about God?

Part three of our Now What? series takes us into the story of someone who feels stranded by no fault of their own. It’s a bit of a controversial narrative because God is never mentioned. However, just because God is silent, that doesn’t make Him absent– and it doesn’t change His character to fulfill the saving promises He makes to His people.

Some of our biggest battles are fought on the field of identity. Who am I? Where do I come from? What am I made of? It's trendy right now to get answers to these questions, but what if we were to look beyond culture? How would these questions be answered for ourselves and our families in light of God's love?

Parenting is a rollercoaster ride of emotions. There are moments of celebration and incredible joy as well as moments of hurt and heartache. Even Mary, the mother of Jesus, was no stranger to the pains of parenting. In fact, obeying God in how we parent can mean our souls will be pierced at some point. So when the heartache comes, how can we redeem it?

Today's topic is one of the hard places in family life – parents raising children. Part of the tension we experience is due to the fact that the task of parenthood is the only major job in life we take on without previous training! Regardless of whether you're a parent or not, we all have a part in developing a partnership with God to raise kids who can handle the tensions of life.

Some things are worth fighting for and one of those is your family. Even though it feels like we're competing against media, technology, busyness – you can and should fight for your family. Culture and society are not to tell us what it should look like. You can look to God and His Word for guidance.

What's the big deal about Easter? It's all about love – love coming to the rescue, love that you can trust. There is no greater "I love you" in the universe than what happened on the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ. You are loved. You have access to God and his favor in Christ. Find it this Easter!
