Every invasion from Heaven requires preparation on earth. He has come and He will come again.

Let peace rule your life, let the word of Christ dwell richly in your heart, and whatever you do in word or deed do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to the Father through Him. As the elect of God remember that all is by His grace and Christ is all and in all.

Christ in you the hope of glory. That is a reality if you are trusting Christ. It is what God the Father has done in qualifying us, delivering us, and conveying us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love—from darkness to light and life.

2 Chronicles 36; Jeremiah 29

Salt looses its saltiness and the light is hidden when God’s people leave their first love. We must remember, repent, and do the first works. We must return to our first love. We must have a faith that works by love.

In Christ, your story will be one of death and resurrection—of fertility made barrenness to be made abundantly fruitful at last. It is a fruitfulness that will cost you absolutely everything, but when you do finally let go, you can rest assured, that He is the Restorer of life, that your Redeemer has secured your inheritance, and God is King.

It’s my hope that as we grow up in our knowledge of Christ, Christ Fellowship Church will come to trust and to feel the sovereign kindness of God in all things—sweet and bitter. That from a firm hope in God, we would be a zealous and strategically righteous people who are completely reliant upon the grace and mercy of our Father.

Before, Naomi could only see the bitterness of God’s providence. But it is like putting a cake into the oven and about halfway through you finally start to smell the sweetness. Now it is so obvious, there is a sweet aroma in the air—a sweetness that is beginning to be realized. This is not a result of Naomi’s planning, this is truly a divine conspiracy.

As believers in Christ, the pattern of death then resurrection—darkness then light—is a familiar one, but it needs to be familiar in the right way. Hope must have roots in our bones, in order that we would be a people who do not forget God’s promise in the valley of shadows.

We may feel as though we, or others, are not qualified to go and tell the good news. However, all belivers committed to obedience in the name of Jesus Christ is qualified to go and sow.

The command to "fear not" comes with the command to "wilt not" under pressure from the world. We are to confess Him before men and make known the witness of faith in our heart through our words and deeds.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord you God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)

The call to enter Christ's rest is not a call to stop work, it is a call to come out from under the burden of sin and death. It is a call to come out from under one yoke and burden and to take another. Jesus invites us to take His yoke that is easy. In order to work well we must learn how to rest well.

We must be laborers willing to lay down our lives, willing to embrace the cross, willing to be joyfully used up by God for the work of HIs Kingdom and the glory of His name.
