In the Lord's Prayer Jesus teaches us a pattern for prayer. In this pattern we see a truth that is very simple, but also very profound. Prayer to the Father in Heaven, start with Him and his priorities. When prayer starts with God, his name, his kingdom, and his will we will pray like Jesus and be shaped to look more like him.

We all have an idea of what prayer is, but more often than not, we are left disappointed and discouraged in our prayer life. As we ask the question, "Lord, can you teach us to pray?" We can come to Jesus and learn from him the true point of prayer.

Have you ever wanted God's power to explode into your life? His peace, his strength, his forgiveness? You might want that, but how does that happen? What we see in this passage is that the more you live a life of repentance, the more of God's power will mark your whole life.

The Israelites ask the question, “Who can stand in the presence of the Lord?” What would it be like to stand before God. How would you or I respond to him. In this text we see 4 responses to being in the presence of God and only one response gives us the ability to stand.

Many of us find us wanting just some of God in our lives. Often that leads us eventually to want none of God. But what if we could have all of God? Or even better, he could have all of us?
