At this time during the Covid Pandemic, this story from the book of Exodus about the Israelites in the wilderness can encourage us and teach us to trust God through all circumstances.

God is able to work amazing miracles out of a really messy situation. Encouragement for us during the Covid Pandemic and all pains and sorrows this world has to offer..

Jesus, the one with all authority, eats, and reclines with sinners. But he doesn't just eat with them, he heals them.

Jesus shows in Matthew 9, he is not only the great healer and miracle worker, he is the Son of God with the authority to forgive sins.

Jesus has supreme authority, even over demons, as he demonstrates with this famous miracle where he casts out a Legion of demons into a herd of pigs.

Jesus saves to the uttermost and expresses his love for us right now in Heaven as he intercedes on our behalf. A wonderful reminder of the love of Christ in our first service back at the Ashcroft since March.

We're so grateful to be a part of our Global Church Family in Commission and we believe it is important for the Church to support global missions by giving to missionary organisations, so that the Good News of Jesus Christ is proclaimed and heard across the World.

Jesus challenges his listeners, whether they are logical thinkers or passionate go-getters and then he calms the wind and the waves showing he has authority over creation.

Jesus, in three stories, shows his astonishing authority to heal those who are sick, with a touch or a word.

As Jesus draws his great sermon to a close, he focuses on obedience and calls his disciples to heed the words he has preached and live in obedience.

In chapter 7 of the sermon on the mount, Jesus tells us there is a way that leads to destruction and there's a way that leads to life.  How can we choose the path that leads to life?

In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus speaks about 2 very important aspects of the Christian's life - how they use their wealth and how they handle troubles and difficulties. Jesus calls us to store up treasure in Heaven, rather than here on Earth and to not be anxious, but trust in God.

Jesus warns us against hypocrisy – publicly faking righteousness, rather than privately living faithfully. He calls us to give, pray and fast, knowing we are seen by our Father in Heaven and he will reward us.

As Jesus preaches in the Sermon on the Mount, he begins to challenge his disciples with a standard of righteousness even higher than given by the law in the Old Testament.  He says “Your righteousness must exceed that of the scribes and the Pharisees” and “You must be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect”.  Who then can be saved?!

Jesus speaks to his disciples and reveals their identity as salt and light in the world.  We need to live this out in obedience to how Jesus describes our true identity.

What kind of people are happy in the Kingdom of Heaven?  Jesus tells us in the opening 12 verses of Matthew 5 in the Sermon on the Mount.  The attitudes of the Beatitudes may surprise you.

As Jesus uses the word "blessed" in the Beatitudes at the start of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus calls Christians to a blissfully happy life, as we draw happiness from the promise of the Kingdom of Heaven contained in these verses.

In 3 stories Jesus shows his astonishing transformational power.  He brings light in the darkness in Zebelun & Naphtali, his call makes Peter, Andrew, James & John change career and heals the lives of many in Galilee in this section of Matthew's Gospel.

Jesus fulfils all righteousness by being baptised and by overcoming Satan's temptations in the wilderness. In this passage we are shown what Jesus' goodness looks like and why Jesus' righteousness is important

Matthew 3 introduces us to an extraordinary man, John the Baptist.  His lifestyle challenges us, his message is critically important, but most of all he spends his entire ministry pointing to the one who is mightier, Jesus Christ.

Chris Kilby, guest from Life Church Southampton, encourages us through this Coronavirus crisis and all of life's difficulties by speaking about the benefits of being shepherded by God.

The Messiah described in Isaiah 11 wins a glorious victory, which causes thanksgiving and celebration in chapter 12.  How should Christians respond to Jesus Christ, our Lord, Saviour and Messiah.

After two chapters of judgement in Isaiah 9 & 10, Isaiah prophesies hope in chapter 11, speaking of the Messiah to come, on whom the Spirit of God will rest.  The wisdom & understanding, counsel & might, knowledge & fear of the LORD of Jesus Christ fills Isaiah's listeners and us with glorious hope.

Just as Israel was judged by God in chapter 9, so Assyria is judged for her arrogance in chapter 10.  God is portrayed as a powerful, yet terrifying, gardener or woodsman, chopping down and burning up trees and weeds, representative of the sinful Assyrians.

In chapters 9 & 10 of Isaiah, God reveals his righteousness and his wrath upon Israel’s sin. We are also guilty of pride and arrogance, not seeking the Lord and not caring for the needy.
