Sometimes it can be really hard to forgive someone who has really hurt us. Forgiveness isn't something earned. Forgiveness is a gift. It is given. When God sent Jesus to the cross for us, it was a free gift of forgiveness. We didn't deserve it. He did it anyway. When we think about how much we have been forgiven of, it helps us freely give our forgiveness to those who have hurt us. Freely...

When we look at a flock of sheep, we usually just see a bunch of sheep. When We look at a crown of people, we usually just see a bunch of people. When we believe in Jesus and what He did for us on the cross, we become a child of God! We are adopted in to His family! We are given His name! we inherit the Kingdom! How awesome is that!? My precious friends, we must learn to be happy in every situation, even if we don't understand it, or if it is not what we had in mind. God knows best! we can never complain! When we pray we are opening our hearts to God. We are telling him that He knows best and we do not. Even when we can't come up with words to pray, or don't know what to pray for, the Holy Spirit tells God for us! Today's memory verse: James 5:16 "When a good man prays, great things happen."

In heaven there will be no more fear, no more pain, no more worry, doubt, sickness, anger, hatred.... I can't wait to be there together with you all! Today's memory verse: Revelation 21:4 "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, sadness, crying, or pain."

God's thoughts are not our thoughts. He thinks heavenly and spiritually minded, and we tend to think human and worldly minded. God wants us to be transformed in our minds and start to think like He does. We will never reach perfection, but we can certainly strive together! Our sin cuts us off from God. He is perfect and He is holy. Sin cannot be in His presence. Unlike a flower that is cut off at the stem and starts to die and can never be brought back to life, Jesus does the miracle of bringing us back to life! Sometimes we expect God to answer our prayers exactly the way we want Him to. When it doesn't happen like that we can feel disappointed. Let's remember that God knows best and whatever his answer is, is what is best for us. Let's strive to change our expectations to what He wants!
