Christ offers a road to freedom. From the past, from the fear of failure. Through his Word, through Worship, and through Witness.

Continuing in Acts. Division in the church is nothing new but we need to work hard to prevent / resolve it by pursuing the unity of the church.& encouraging each other daily.

Continuing in Acts, Chapter 15 describes great friends Paul and Barnabus having a "sharp disagreement" and falling out., No dispute is resolved by ignorance or arrogance, but by humility, patience, love and kindness

Continuing our journey through Acts. The divisions and conflict in the early church still exist today yet if we really understand the gift of grace we should be shoulder to shoulder. A fresh move of God is always preceded by a change in attitude and thinking so to move forward we need to be united in our faith, despite differences.

Continuing our series on the Book of Acts. For many people God is percieved as hard and judgemental but nothing could be further from the truth. God wants us to to be centred on him so that we can have the full lives we were designed for. True worship is measured by the priortiy of God in our lives.

Sam talks about the life of King David. David's story gives us all hope because he had an extremely turbulent young and middle life, getting into all kinds of scrapes but ending up as a man after God's own heart. God dealt with Goliath and he can slay our giants too.

The story of Nehemiah is a great example of being hands on for God He prayed, sacrificed and had tremendous perseverance. The body of Christ is the people, not the buildings we use, and God wants his people to get their hands dirty!

Visionaries use language and actions that bring about results. Initially change might not always feel good but we must believe God is in control. We can't afford to get sidetracked- our future is intrinsically linked with our ability to look aheadDon't settle for good when great is on the menu.

Martin Luther King had a dream. So did Joseph. They were both visionaries. In the same way, if we value the future of the church we have to be dreamers and visionaries too. Godly vision is for the building and edification of the church and without visionary leadership we will never see the fullness of God's plan for us.

We all have fear - Fear of loss. Fear of failure. Fear of rejection. Fear of the unknown. Fear is faith in the wrong things - having faith in the "what if's" rather than faith in God. So- Find the root cause, Give it over to god. Actively seek god - keep on and don't stop. God is bigger than we can imagine, and bigger than all our fears.

And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Jesus passionately pursues us. Never gives up, even when we doHe won't relent until he has our whole heart.

Barnabus was an encourager. What would people say about you? Chasing after God means making time for him, dropping all that hinders our relationship with Him. He hears us and doesn't want to miss any of the great things he has planned for us but busy-ness can get in the way.

Continuing the series on the Book of Acts. Some things in life are just too good to miss. Peters challenge - how did he integrate a different culture into a long established congregation is a challenge that faces every growing church.
