We recap week 5, aka Rivalry week for Chip/Suneel, whilst exploring the erratic, squirrelly Quality Start stat (is it better than Wins?). Its been 4 weeks? And Jay and Josh are somehow 4-0. What on earth. Anyway, we wrap up week 4 matchups, look at the top hitters and pitchers, and then look ahead to week 5 matchups. The usual schtick, right? Sigh, and Josh's offense is terrible!

Brutes Squad won a week. Sorry Z, tough loss. Week 3 was a challenging week and lots of drama. We discussed the close matchups, surprises and even how Aleks hates our injury slots (only 3?!?!). Well, at least there are 2 undefeated teams left as we look ahead to week 4.

Week 2 came and went fairly quickly and boy have things changed. Brutes are terrible, Evermore is good? Down is Up, I guess? We discuss Week 2 and somehow forgot that we are terrible at picking teams each week, and Aleks may be the worst at it. We look ahead to Week 3 matchups and end discussing Aleks' new chicken feeder that hopefully will avoid feeding the rats in his backyard. Typical stuff...

Week 1 is finally in the books and we recap the blown leads that left us in disarray. We look ahead to Week 2 and prognosticate our first regular week of 2025. Baseball is officially back and so is the Chicago Beef League. With an extended Week 1, we review current matchups and primarily criticize the Brute squad. We then jump right into MLB predictions by division where Mike and Aleks make the most boring takes. At least Chip offered some spicy ones. For those that don't know, the Chicago Beef League draft is the greatest day of the year. And its largely spent online for 2 hours, usually during Zavo's mom's birthday. Anywho, the draft happened this past Sunday and we recapped it in detail. Aleks even did prep work! We recap each teams draft, the positives and negatives, and close with Aleks' outlook for 2025. We chatted for well over an hour discussing and predicting what will happen (and not happen) in the first 2 rounds of our upcoming Chicago Beef League draft. We picked players based on positional needs as well as draft history. This wasn't a draft of what WILL happen, as we all know guys will go WILD CARD and pick a random player in that 1st round that will throw everyone off. We did our best....

We wrap the discussion with a brief review of some of CBS' 2025 projections and notably their outliers. There are a bunch of terrible ones, be careful!

Cambodia Flying Canucks are 2024 champions and everyone else gets to look ahead to 2025. We briefly recap the championship and move on to honoring the Beef League managers of the 2024 season, the worst and the best. Mostly just the worst though (*cough* Suneel *cough*). Trade season is now upon us, let Aleks' offers commence!

FINALS WEEK! Its finally here, and The Brute Squad is facing the juggernaut, Cambodia Flying Canucks, for the bobblehead and crown as 2024 Champion. But first, we recap the semi-finals and lament what apparently had to be. We outline what to expect with the Finals and spend a generous amount of time on the Chicago Bears, a team who routinely fails to develop star quarterbacks. Oh well.

<worlds longest exhale> That was scary. Wild card round was wild. We recap Aleks v Dave and Chip v Suneel, and now the victors proceed to John and Josh. The SemiFinals are among us now and we make predictions. We close with a cathartic rant about being handy and the stupidness of inventing Allenwrenches. At least Aleks' renovation is nearly done.

DOWN THE STRETCH WE COME...to week 22. We recap week 21, 3 playoff spots are locked up, basically. 4 teams vie for 3 remaining spots. Aleks vs Zavo, winner is in. Well, it was a fun season. Despite Aleks' electrical issues, we cover the Week 20 recap, and project the week 21 and all the miscues ahead. Aleks claims he's going to run the table due to picking up Luis Rengifo. Only 2 more weeks!

As Tom Petty says, "the waiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiting is the hardest part", I'm pretty sure he meant having to wait 2 weeks to hear this episode where we recap TWO weeks, the trade deadline and talk extensively about Aleks' newfound love for the failed prospect/monkey owner Victor "Vicente" Robles. Also, Chip shouldn't do the intro.

Week 18 was a full week and truly full of epic outcomes. Upsets happened, another team is now a seller and lets be honest: Mike and Vishnu each winning is def epic (Aleks' called Mike's win). We looked ahead to week 19 matchups, briefly mention Dave's squad as he seems bound for playoffs somehow, and I pick Suneel to win which goes against every fiber of Chip's being.

"When it rains it pours", someone smart once said. Well, after a THREE DAY week, chaos poured on the Beef League. We tried our best to summarize the week, or whatever it was, and looked ahead to a REAL week. Speaking of pouring, we also saw a bunch of trades. Not sure what got into half the league.
