Julia Storke came into the studio and brought her unique and beautiful music which charmed the hell out of me. She is skilled on the guitar and keyboards with a wonderful voice. I guess you can tell that loved her show. Julia has performed in the concert hall of the Old Town School of Folk Music as well as many other excellent venues. Smentek Mullen "The Original Tuo" joined us for an afternoon of great acoustic music. These Columbia College grads have a fun attitude and and some great songs. Cary Kanno and half of one of his two bands, Abstract Giants joined the CAU crew for a night of Caryand#39;s unique brand of music and laughter. We had a great time! His other band is called Doko Benjo.

Into the studio one afternoon Mr. Riely Oand#39;Connor entertained the heck out of Christine Knodle and myself. Riely is from South Bend, Indiana and is the consumate Singer/Songwriter. Cobalt came in to support Michael Raspatelloand#39;s Chicago Bluegrass and Blues Festival . We had a blast, as you will hear. Guests included Greg Combs and Jeff Brown of the band Goodbyehome and Greg told a great story of meeting Tom Fort when he first moved here.

Majors Junction came into the studio to record a pre-concert show in support of the Chicago Bluegrass and Blues Festival being held this Saturday November 22nd at the Congress Theater up on Milwaukee Ave. This was like a reunion of sorts as two of the members, John Hasbrouk, Brian Wilkie, and Matt Gandurski are all CAU alumni.

Donna Frost Joined me for a show back in the Spring and I saved it until now because I knew that she was returning in the Fall and low and behold she will be here this coming Thursday. Eli Jones the Chicago based rock and soul octet with powerhouse lead singer Stefanie Berecz and their kicking horn section cramed into the studio and shook this old building to itand#39;s foundation. The Wizard of the Mix Michael Vez and CAU "Sr. Vice Pres." Christine Knodle and I danced the night away to this most amazing band!!!!

How Far To Austin This sextet came in and blew us away. Their blend of Rock and Soul with Tateand#39;s fabulous lyrics and the harmonies with his wife Katie and bandmate Derrick combine to make these guys one of the hottests bands in Chicago and you can be sure that they are going very far in this biz.

Dave Hawkins joined me with his lovely wife Cheryl for an evening of stories and music. Dave is a teacher up in Lake Bluff. Most certainly a child of the Sixties/Seventies. His music runs the gamut from up and dancing to emotional stories that make you think. "Hawkman" is that wonderful mix of a person that teaches our children with words and teaches us through his music. Teach your Children well....

My good friend Eric Lugosch put together this tribute show to the Rev. Gary Davis. He brought in Memphis based Andy Cohen and Chicago based roots musician Eric Noden for a birthday celebration of the Life and music of the Rev. Gary Davis.

Nature Devil is Brian Lambrecht who also plays bass for my Co-Host John Michaels band. This was a riot of a show driven by the Nature Devil himself, Brian. Phistine Verona (warning: explicit language) That said, these guys rocked the house and we obviously had one hell of a time. They are sort of a cross between straight ahead rock laced with a whole bunch of punk. I highly recommend catching this band live.
