Chew Bubblegum and Kick Ass

We're kicking off our Twin Films series with the classic story of guy being hunted by rich people. Hard Target and Surviving The Game both came out in the mid-90s, and are adaptations of The Most Dangerous Game. One has JCVD and one has Ice-T. One has the protagonist punching a rattlesnake in the face, and one has the protagonist using a shotgun to shoot down a giant tree to make a bridge. All...

Today we're kick off our biggest series yet with Twin Films. We're exploring the phenomena when two movies come out in close proximity with pretty much the exact same idea for a plot. The story of a white, middle-class, straight, white dude who thinks the world is against him, is this Joel Schumacher's best movie? Better than even Batman and Robin? Probably not.

This isn't like our other series we did, Best Of The Worst Of The Best, this is Best Of The Worst. So, we're talking about movies that we might consider good from directors who we might consider bad. It's time to decide who was the most traumatized by these movies. Will it be Hocus Pocus, Mother's Day, or Pet Semetary? Have we overcome our traumas? Not really, but this might have been a start.

Well blow me down, this week we're talking about Tucker's pick for Best of The Worst of The Best with Robert Altman's Popeye. Listen and find out!
