Is it really true that the wicked prosper while the righteous struggle?

God never forsakes his children. Psalm 9 reminds us of this great reality.

We are valuable because we are made in the image of the invisible and majestic God of all glory.

Don't we all want to take matters into our own hands? But, we can't. We must trust God to take up our cause and be just when injustice rules.

We need Jesus because we are sinners. We need salvation and grace to forgive us our debts. As we cry out to him, we do so in sorrow over our sins trusting in his grace.

We can grow in our relationship with God by communicating with him regularly in prayer.

The final phrase of the Lord's Prayer is a most fitting conclusion to the prayer because it brings us back to where we began -- the glory of God in heaven.

In the final petition of the Lord's Prayer, Jesus teaches us to pray for the Father to order our paths away from the temptation of the Evil One and for him to give us the necessary grace to overcome when we are facing temptation.

When we pray for God to give us our daily bread, we pray for him to give us the provisions we need to enable us to live for his glory, under his reign, and doing his will. We thank him for the provisions of our past and for what we need today, not tomorrow.
