In our last study, we learned about the letter Paul sent to Rome in preparation to receive the Gospel. As our study continues, listen how Paul tell us to avoid heresies, not doctrine as it serves as the guideposts that exposes heresy.

Paul concludes his thoughts from Chapter 14 in this study where he speaks to the strong and weak, and how the strong are commanded to bear the burdens of the weak.

The early church was made up of many nationalities and walks of life. Paul saw how some were stronger in their faith and addresses them on how to deal with those who have a weaker faith.

Previously, we learned how Paul calls us to walk out our salvation so we can be witnesses to the world and over come evil with good. In Chapter 14 we learn how we are to do this on a grander, national level.

Romans 10 ends with a switch in the economy from Jew to Gentile. In Chapter 11, Paul tells us to guard our thinking so that we don't think something went wrong with the Word of God, and how all through Scripture He tells us how things would unfold. In our last study we saw how the people of Israel were not considered the people of God as it shifted to the Gentiles. However, this does not mean God was done with the Jewish people. In this study we learn how in the new covenant, the Jewish people become saved.

It's time to dive into rich and deep waters in this study as Pastor Bill covers three verses in this chapter discussing predestination.

The points Paul speaks of in chapters one through seven sets the stage for point he wants to make in chapter eight. He wants to do good, yet he acknowledges the wretched man he is as he finds his flesh doing battle with his spirit.

In Chapter Seven, Paul tells us that we must not only die to sin, we are to die to the law as well. Listen to this study and discover how Paul reminds us that there is a good purpose to the law, however, we must die to it.
