Would we give it all up so that we can have what we want? Or can we trust in God and ask God, "what do you want?"

Where and what are the burning bushes in our own lives in which God is calling us and saying "I need you."

God promises Abraham that he will be blessed to be a blessing to God's people.

God made the world and said, "IT WAS GOOD." He wiped the slate clean – started over – and still says, "IT IS GOOD" and with his last words “I will remember my covenant”…life is radically changed for all of God’s creatures.

There are generations looking for Jesus. They are saying to us, "show us Jesus!" What are we going to look like to them. We are in a reformation, are you ready?

God says "My way isn’t the way that avoids suffereing but goes head on into the cross and transforms it into an empty tomb." God takes a mess and makes a miracle. God takes our mess and makes something beautiful. What God does with suffering he makes beauty. This is the whole point in why Jesus is who Jesus is. God enters into this life, experiences all that the life can bring and then does someth...

This is what we are about. We are not talking about each of us individual but as a community. That is what Pentecost is about. That is what the spirit is about. That is what we are about. To live…to love…and to be there for one another.

Faith is made whole in community. This is about who we are; growing in the faith TOGETHER by serving one another with love.

We love because God first loved. As we gain a right understanding of how much worth and value each person has, as we come to see each other the way God sees us, then we will gain an appreciation for one another that will strengthen love and build community.

Unity, NOT conformity. We are in unity because of the Holy Spirit and what Christ did on the cross for us.

We are filled with joy in the Good News of what God has done and continues to do in our lives. It is Good News…and we respond with the joy that is central to our lives.

Why we do what we do in worship - "Baptism"

When we have the knowledge of what God has done in our lives, we can't help but respond by loving the world the same way. And so we fear God, that is to say, we respect and stand in awe of God.

We think of the gifts of the Spirit as those gifts that we see shown outwardly. Like speaking in tongue, prophec etc…But really the gifts given to us are those that we don't necessarily see that are shown outwardly. Like wisdom and understanding. And why is the gift of faith listed as the 3rd gift? Shouldn't it be the 1st gift?

God does not give up on us. In fact, Pentecost reminds us of just that. The gift of the Holy Spirit moves us to be a church that is continually shaped and reshaped. Expect more of God in your life and watch out for what the Holy Spirit does in your life!

From Spiritual consumers to Spiritual producers! We are called to share the good news. And we do this by sharing our own stories of faith ad resurrection!

We respond to God's gift of love by loving the world that we are a part of.

We don't do things to show God that we love Him. He loves us first so that we can then go and BE love.

Our story today is to show us the witness of Christ does not come to us in perfections but in our brokeness. That your brokenness and your darkness are called to be witness to God’s resurrection life in your life.
