The Gospel of Mark is more than an ancient document - its the story of Jesus and the start of something new for you, for me, and for the world.

We'll have a look at Colossians 3:1-17 for some encouragement and challenge as we follow Jesus into the New Year.

Love is everywhere. It's the main theme of most movies, books, and songs. We like love. We might even love love. If it's true that God Himself is the source of all love, how can we experience this as more than an abstract concept?

Mark 1:29-37 shows a moment in Jesus ministry where the work load seems overwhelming. Its busy seasons like this in our lives that we often forget or set aside our time with the Lord. In this passage we see that it is in these seasons when we need to fight the hardest to sit with our God.

What does God have to say to a church celebrating 75 years as a community of faith in the city? It might not be what you expect.

Most, if not all, of us want to see God pour out his Spirit in our day. But not many of us arent willing to pay attention to the place where revival begins: our hearts. Yet, God says that is exactly what we need to do.

To want revival is one thing; to give yourself to the journey to get there is another. In this teaching, we look at the postures and practices that work together to create the conditions for a move of Gods Spirit.

The time is now to contend for God to move in our time. But in order for the church to contend for a move of , it must take up the cry of revival and call on God to keep his promises. Using the Exodus story, we investigate what this looks like and how we can get involved as the church of Jesus.

As Central Heights turns 75, we celebrate Gods faithfulness and give thanks for all he has done. Yet milestone is not the finish line, but a new beginning. God is still at work, and Isaiah 61 invites us to join Him in whats next.

This sermon reflects on Jesus parable of the great banquet in Luke 14:1524, showing how Gods invitation to His kingdom is open to all, yet many miss it by making excuses. As followers of Christ, we are called to move beyond excuses, accept the invitation fully, and be compelled by His love to invite others to the table of Gods kingdom.

In the church we throw the word faith around a lot, and we should because faith is central to a life with God. But what happens when the broken parts of our lives and the circumstances we find ourselves in threaten our faith? What do we do? It begins with asking: what do I have?

In a fast paced, connected culture it can be easy to miss Gods presence in our lives. If we dont slow down and create the conditions to help us see, we may just miss the God who is with us.

In a hurting world, people are looking for hope. How do we, as the people of God, join Jesus in bringing hope into the lives of those around us? The answer might surprise you: one meal at a time.

Turns out Zacchaeus stature is not the most important part of the story. When we look at what the story of Zacchaeus reveals, we see important details to what Jesus upside down kingdom looks like.

Some meals are unforgettable. The disciples would never forget this last supper with Jesusnot just because of what he said, but because of what he did. In John 13:117, we see Jesus living out his message and inviting us to lean into community, to serve, and to receive.

Jesus teaching in Luke 14 flips our understanding of hospitality on its head. True Kingdom hospitality isnt about status, comfort, or reciprocityits about making space for the hurting, the rejected, and the forgotten, just as Christ has done for any who believe. When we welcome the vulnerable, we are encountering the saviour of the world who brings healing to our hearts.
