Scripture: Luke 17:11-17:19 Jesus cleansed 10 lepers but only one returned to praise Him. That man was not only healed physically but saved spiritually. Jesus confronts us in our age of entitlement and ingratitude to reveal that the only appropriate response of those who have received Christ's mercy by faith is profound praise.

Scripture: Luke 13:22-13:35 As Jesus journeys to Jerusalem and the cross, he tells his disciples that entrance into the kingdom is a narrow door and encourages them to strive to enter through it. However despite the difficult entrance he encourages them that the kingdom is open to all who would trust in Him.

Scripture: Luke 13:22-13:35 Jesus paints a difficult picture of people wanting to get into the kingdom of God, but missing the opportunity because they missed the main point of his message. In answering ?"Will only a few be saved" he gives us a beautiful picture of the kingdom of God and a chilling reminder not to delay.

In secular or Christian worldviews there are many things that are believed to be crucial to great parenting: honesty, consistency, patience, openness, love, security, using discipline wisely, etc. But what if the most important thing about parenting had nothing to do with children?

It is really hard to trust something you don't know or understand, and therefore if we don't understand our salvation we will keep on trying to do it ourselves. But when we come to understand the work of our Triune God in salvation we realize that we can trust Him and thank Him for all that he has done.

Scripture: Titus 3:3-3:7 God, as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, working in salvation is massively important for helping us get our bearings on what being saved even means. If we get God wrong, we get what we are saved from, why we are saved, and what we are saved wrong as well. Scripture points to a triune God overflowing with love towards us, which changes everything.
