Romans 5:12-21 Adam’s original sin in the garden has graver, farther reaching consequences than we sometimes recognize. But Jesus’ obedience in the garden and on the cross has surpassingly wondrous benefits for those who repentantly receive God’s free gift of grace.

Romans 5:12-21 Jesus is the true and better Adam, who passed the test in the garden and whose obedience is imputed to us.

Matthew 25:31-46 Jesus identifies so intimately with His followers that to serve them is to serve Jesus. In fact, love for Christ’s church is evidence of love for Christ; so much so that when He comes again He will be able to separate the righteous from the unrighteous on the evidence of how they treated “the least of these”.

Matthew 25: 31-46 Jesus teaching on the parable of the sheep and the goats and final judgment presents problems for modern listeners, both theological and emotion. To be sure this story of what C.S. Lewis called “the Great Divorce” is sobering but it also contains surprising encouragements for followers of Jesus.

Ephesians 6:4 The difference committed Christian dads make is nothing short of revolutionary; and the data bears this out. Dads who are consistent, present, and loving toward their children make a world of difference in their kids lives. And dads who teach and model what it means to follow Jesus give their children the greatest gift of all.

Ephesians 6:1-4 Fatherhood is meant to be one of the most honored occupations ever. That’s why God’s Word (Ephesians 6) gives some critical instruction on honoring fathers, and fathering with honor.

Matthew 25:14-30 We have been entrusted with valuable truth; the Gospel. How are we using the abilities and opportunities in life to proclaim this message of hope.

Matthew 25:14-30 Jesus has entrusted His people with many things that He expects will be invested in His kingdom, for its growth. The question is, “Will the church be found faithful as we wait for His return?”

Matthew 25:14-30 Jesus tells his disciples a parable to help them to understand how they can be prepared for his return.  We are called to use our gifts as a reflection of God’s character that we can bring him glory.  As we eagerly anticipate his return, we are called to be faithful servants with what God has entrusted to us.

This Pentecost Sunday we celebrate the work of the Holy Spirit who testifies to the finished work of Christ.

Hebrews 10:11-18 This Pentecost Sunday we want to take the time to celebrate the work of the Holy Spirit in our church and our lives!  By the work of the Holy Spirit we come to understand what Jesus has done for us and how we can live it out.  We need His help and strength to transform our hearts to follow Christ. 

Hebrews 10:11-18 God the Father sent the Holy Spirit as a gift to the church 50 days after Jesus’ resurrection. This is known as “the day of Pentecost”. The Spirit of God bears witness to the saving and sanctifyingwork of Jesus, and He continues the ongoing work of sanctification in our lives.
