What kind of prayer reaches God? What kind of prayer reshapes our heart? What kind of prayer changes the world? If ever there was a need for prayer, surely it is now. With all the hurt, anxiety, and uncertainty around us, we have a sure hope in heaven not earth.

The greatest prayer warrior of all time was Jesus Himself. Talking to the Father and communing with the Holy Spirit were as natural to Him as breathing. What lessons about prayer can we learn from the author of our faith? Prayer is not easy--it's hard work. But, oh, so worth it!

We celebrate together the opportunity to give to Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes, and relate the items we provide to the gifts that God provides to us.

Pride is exhausting. It's exhausting trying to compare ourselves with other people. It's exhausting trying to get ahead at the expense of/neglect of others. It's also exhausting being a "good person" on the outside if we don't have the right motivation in our heart.

Envy, selfishness and every evil. Thinking of ourselves before others. Loving our desires more than God; more than the needs of those around us. To fight this battle against sin, we need the filling of the Holy Spirit; where He fruit abounds in our character. This is where freedom from ourselves lies.

Will you learn to accept how God created you? He didn’t make a mistake. So, if that’s true, how can we not live for Him? Let’s celebrate our identity in Jesus. Let’s be thankful!
