Let me summarize God’s feelings about those who teach falsehoods that would lead people away from Him and His TRUTH: He hates them. Why would I say that? Because according to our text today, He reserves the dark...

Sunday, September 15, 2024, we will continue our study of 2 Peter. The title of today’s message is "Overcoming the Doctrine of Balaam." Peter, Jude, and John all identify Balaam as a false prophet whose teachings are relevant and dangerous, especially in the end times. The main idea behind this false teaching is the belief that one can engage with the worldly system and still maintain a pleasing r...

Sunday, September 8, 2024 – Today, we continued our study in 2 Peter 2, focusing on how "God’s Jealousy Protects Against False Teachers." Jealousy is typically seen as a negative characteristic, but when it comes to God, His jealousy is about wanting a relationship with us, which was broken by the curse of sin. The entire 2nd chapter of 2 Peter speaks about God’s judgment against false teachers an...

Sunday, August 25, 2024 – We continue our study of 2 Peter, focusing today on the theme of "God’s Righteous Judgment & Mercy.” Peter is careful to reveal God’s stance on sin, particularly the sin of being a false teacher or prophet, which has far-reaching consequences. God does not show favoritism toward any wrongdoer, be they angelic or human. We will also explore Lucifer's origin as the "guardia...
