作者杜塔，本名杜尚仪，生于1977年，在没有培训班、没有玩具的教育环境中成长。毕业后成为本土培养的第一批国际会计师之一，从业13年后转投金融行业执业超过十年。2020年后投资方向转向教育行业。本书结合其自身从出生到大学毕业的成长经历，反思教育得失，以直觉探究的形式，尝试探寻个人成长规律，并与宏观教育环境联系，献言献策。书中受神经学科、心理学科启发，兼带融合其他多门学科的理论精髓，同时结合个人详尽的自身案例，理论联系实践，为更深入更广泛的教育思考与研究提供了有力的先驱性探索。
