As we look at Jairus and the lady who bled for 12 years, we learned how their actions can teach us something today. Let’s humble ourselves and take action!

Often we allow our experiences to dictate our understanding of God rather than focusing on the truth. In Mark 6:45-56 we learn not to limit Jesus by our own understanding and to examine the bigger picture. Jesus will cross any barrier to meet with us, we just need to invite him into our boat. Mark 6:45-56.

Mark 5 highlights that Jesus is the only one who can heal, he goes after the one and as a result we have a story to share.

The parables that Jesus uses in this incident are powerful lessons for who are prepared to listen well. Lesson that will inspire us towards a pursuit of God and his kingdom, our role in it and to dare to dream big.

As we continue in our series through the book of Mark, Hannah looks to unpack what Jesus has to offer the world through an account of two significant healing miracles - compassion, power to heal and an offer to live life to the full.

Mark 5:1-20 shows us Jesus seeking out those who everyone else counts as lost. He makes impossible things possible and sets us free.

James looks at Mark 5:21 Jairus's Story. This encourages us to jettison pride and to pursue Jesus's presence and power.

"Following the calming of the storm, we are still struck by the questioning of the disciples, "Who is this man?", through this passage, we discover that whatever nature the storm takes, whether be external or internal, Jesus has come with the principal objective to save us and in doing so "to destroy all the works of the evil one" 1 John 3:8

What if we saw our storms in a new way? What if we faced our storms in the light of Jesus power and presence?

In the parable of the sowers we can learn about how to gain access to the amazing abundance of God.

Jesus asks us to "Listen!", when we read the parable of the sower what does that means for our lives and the way we share the gospel.
