The parable of the dishonest manager is one of the most confusing passages in the Gospels. For two weeks we will use this unique story to help us uncover our feelings and perspectives about money and resources.

This week we will be praying for our teachers, school administrators, students, bus drivers, school employees, and parents as the school year begins. This passage in the Sermon on the Mount will help us frame our hopes and dreams for the coming year.

The parable of the sheep and the goats helps provide clarity on what it looks like to be a follower of Jesus and challenges us to love more boldly - not because we have to, but because we can.

The last words of John's Gospel help us understand one of the issues that can hinder our faith and complicate our relationships.

Sometimes the only cure for what ails us is the kindness of God.

The resurrection is the final piece of the faith puzzle that helps us understand what this life is all about.

A confrontation in the Garden. Peter's denial. Jesus' discussion with Pilate. We will look to the 18th Chapter of John to prepare our hearts as we enter Holy Week.

“I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.” John 17:20-21

Remaining in Jesus’ love sounds desirable and doable, but He repeats the word remain an awful lot in this chapter.  Maybe it’s not so easy.  Jesus tells us how to stay attached.

Jesus has a conversation with two disciples, Thomas and Philip, that we get to learn from. He answers questions about where we are headed, who God is, and how the Holy Spirit will help us along the way.

As Jesus shares a final meal with his friends, he uses a simple act of love as an example that will shape the rest of their lives. In light of Will French’s beginning to this series, this one act has the potential to shape our calling in powerful ways.

This week’s text leads us to the triumphal entry, which is, to this point, the culmination of Jesus’ ministry on earth. Jesus, however, knows what is to come and knows the call before him in the coming week. What do you feel Christ has called you to in your life? What is our response when we receive the call from God?

In preparation for the Lenten season, we will be looking at a few passages in the first part of John's gospel. During Lent, we will journey through the second half of John, where he gives us an intimate and detailed account of the last week of Jesus' life.
