Send us Fan Mail God brings his people home!  Jerusalem was decimated by the Babylonians.  The people were carried off into exile, but God did not ignore them.  God was preparing to return them to Jerusalem but even more, God was preparing them to return to a right relationship with him.  God continues to do that through Jesus each and every day.

Send us Fan Mail Warnings are interesting things.  We can choose to pay attention or ignore the warnings at our peril.  God sent prophets to his people to return their hearts to God but time and again the people ignore the warning and even kill the prophets.  What is the consequence of ignoring a warning, what warnings are we ignoring now that we should be heading?

Send us Fan Mail Rebellion is nothing new, people have been doing it since the beginning.  Even though God warns them that having a king will be bad they want to be like other nations.  God relents, and the problems of the people are far from over.  Through this turn of events, the promise of Christ is set and the future course of God’s plan is made more clear.

Send us Fan Mail There is a huge difference between a covenant and a contract.  God’s covenant is a promise between the people of Israel and God.  The covenant is cut between them and God will uphold the covenant.  What does covenant mean and how does it play into the rest of God’s story.

Send us Fan Mail The story of the Exodus is a pivotal moment in God’s story.  God is planning something big for the Children of Israel.  God uses Moses and liberates the Hebrew people from slavery.  God is doing the same thing through Jesus.  Jesus is our Passover lamb which saves us from sin and death just as the spirit of death passed over the homes with blood on the door posts.

Send us Fan Mail Within two chapters after creation, people are going astray.  They went from a good creation to being hellbent on destruction.  God decided on a new approach.  He chose a family to become a nation.  He made a promise to Abram (Abraham) and eventually through that nation He would redeem the world by His own son.
